As often as needed.. You get a yr of upgrades with the purchase.

That's about it. Even though vBa Gallery 1.0.1 was just recently released there is always a list of 'wish list' items that people submit and Brian tries to accomodate if possible so it's a very safe bet that during that 1 year of free upgrades that there'll be upgraded versions. Plus with vB 3.5 going gold this year I'm sure we'll see some updates accordingly.
