| Gold Version Release - When?
More a pre-installation than a pre-sales question:
I know developers hate this question, so I'm asking a little bit different:
Will there be a Gold-Version in the next 2 weeks?
I just want to avoid doing an upgrade just before the gold release....

arpy | I am also wondering about the release date of Gold version but that mustn't be the point you are worried about because upgrading vba products is really simple.

Of course I am excited at the prospect of a new vBAdvanced Gallery. Development is storming ahead at a record pace!
But I'm surprised that vBAdvanced Gallery is moving ahead considering the announcement of vB3.5.
Is there a feature list? (peeks around forum)
Can Admins administrate Categories without logging into the AdminCP?
Can images be deleted by clicking checkboxes in the Thumbnails view?
And I'd really like to add Java upload support using JUpload, but the user permissions logic in upload.php gives me a seizure every time I look at it. The code executed to decide whether an upload is allowed and if so what directory name and filename that file will have is completely insurmountable to me. If I could just figure those 2 out, I could integrate JUpload. It doesn't help that I don't know OOP. I obviously left a terrible impression when I joined this forum cause I haven't heard a peep from anyone on this. Java upload would improve the value of vBAdvanced Gallery tremendously.
I don't know how Brian keeps it all straight in his head -- You get my respect for that alone!

I'd suspect no timeout issues with a java applet??
That alone would make me buy this in a heartbeat.

JUpload? Drag-and-drop any number of large images and they will be batch uploaded (unattended).
Instead of click, pick, Upload, wait for each image, just drag-and-drop.

Urgggh! If I could just figure out what the script is doing!
I've got Java to work to upload 1 image, but no more than that.
There's like 4 separate pieces of code depending upon whether you upload 1 image or more than 1 image. I don't know if I am getting caught up in all the permissions stuff or if I am just overlooking something simple.
The files are being uploaded and thumbnails being created, they just don't get added to the database.

For the 4th time trying this, I give up.
Upload.php is a rat's nest. I can't understand what in the world is going on.

Made a tiny bit more progress.
Gotta figure out how to use the "Only got 1 file?" part of the script to handle all of the images.

You can google JUpload and play with the demo there.
It's easy to add to a website. But vBAdvanced is, well, advanced.
Making JUpload work with all the permissions and stuff is not proving to be easy.
