Member galleries, thumbnailed directories

I'm considering buying VB Gallery and had a question.

I'm currently using album.pl, which has a nice feature for member galleries of allowing you to set a thumbnail as the icon for user folder. Users can pick which image to use as their thumbnail. There is a main page which shows all of the user directories with their thumbnails so people can browse by image.

When looking at the online demo, I only see listing options that are similar to the VBB layout. I was wondering if there is an option to list galleries with their associated thumbnails.

Yes, there is an option to set a specific thumbnail as the "category image". For a good example, see http://www.coolscifi.com/gallery/.

This feature can be turned on for member galleries?

Currently, no. There's a good chance this will be an option in a future version though.
