Assigning thumb nails to videos and audio files

Can you or is ther a hack where you could assign a thumbnail imags for some video
Ex> If I uled a vid and wanted to make a screen shout of the vid be the thub nail
or like if i uploaded a music file can I use a picture of the artist as the thumbnail?

There's currently not an option for that, and I'm not aware of a hack for it.
