1st. Can you turn on the zip extension for your gallery? I tried but no luck.
What I am looking for is something to replace this: http://www.trackpads.com/forum/local_links.php
With something that I can allow users to upload themselves etc. Also, can I mass upload files and directories already on my server? I have about 10gb that I dont want to download and then reupload.
Does the gallery support usergroups per downloads? for example X number of downloads per day or something like that?
Lastly, can I have more than one installation of the gallery? So later if I wanted to add another I could?
Thanks again!
-Jason

You would be able to upload zip files, but there currently isn't anything that would unzip them and then process the files in that zip file.
Yes, you can mass upload files from the server.
No, there is not a setting to limit users to a number of downloads per day.
How exactly would you be using the second installation of the gallery?

The second may be if I ever decide to switch from PP to yours. I was considering it now but I just dont have the time until late spring to do anything that massive. My gallery has over 220K photos and is a pain in arse now let along migrate it. Yours looks good and I only expect it to get better, keeping my options open per se
I am sorry, I didnt mean to open the zips on the server, just replace my downloads gallery.
Is there a way to limit per usregroup?
Thanks again,
-Jason

Yikes.. Yes, it would probably take quite a while to import that many images. I can probably set up the import script to where it would only be a matter of leaving a window open for a couple of hours later though.
You would run into probelms with the settings and such if you tried to have two separate installations of the gallery. You could possibly give the appearance of having two separate scripts running by making a separate category for one of the sections and then linking directly to that category, but it would take a little work in order to separate some of the functions (such as searching, uploading, etc).
Is there a way to limit what per usergroup exactly?

I am sorry, limit downloads/views per day. For example the higher the usergroup the more downloads etc.
Also, can you restrict downloading to registered users/usergroups?
Thanks again,
-Jason

There's not currently a way to limit the downloads per day.
There is a hack available to restrict usergroups from being able to view the showimage.php page and this will be included in RC3 as well.

At some point a way to charge either points or something for views would be awsome.
I forgot to ask, if I upload a zip or document file, what thumbnail is used?
Thanks again,
-Jason
