Sorry if these are lame but I want to be sure before I buy this GREAT product
1 - Is there 1 main on/off switch where I can limit total access until I figure the system out
2 - Will it work with both vbadvanced CMPS and regular vbulletin 3.03
3 - The subscriptions - are they controlled by individual users or do I need to create a special usergroup just for the gallery.
Thanks so much
Kooley

1). Not really... You can deny access on a per-usergroup basis though. Your users shouldn't even know it's on your site until you give them the URL either.
2). Yes.
3). Not sure exactly what you mean by this... The subscriptions are just like subscribing to a thread in vB where you get email notification when someone replies.

Thanks Brian,
Let me be clearer.
1 - I'm not sure why they wouldn't know. On the few sites that I've seen with it, there is a link on the top toolbar that says Gallery. I would only NOT want them to know at the very beginning when I'm testing and figuring out the best way to use it....Once that's done, I'd want them to know.
3 - I obviously misused the word subscription, sorry.
I will only want select users to be able to use it once they reach a certain number of posts or at my discretion. Is there a way to do that? Must I create a new usergroup, or can I allow select SOME users from my main usergroup (registered members) to have access
Basically Our website site has in its forum a section called pics - I'd like to start limiting the amount they can post there and start encouraging them to use VB Gallery.
Thanks again,
Kooley

3 - You would need to create a new usergroup, give that usergroup permissions to the gallery, and use the promotions system in vBulletin to move them to that group when they have met the criteria.

Also, I think a Global On/Off switch would be a nice addition to the Gallery. Makes it easy to turn it off when doing upgrades, maintenance, etc.

For example, PhotoPost has an on/off option, and a text field where you can put a message to be displayed when the gallery is turned off. (Like the On/Off switch for vBulletin itself.)

Kooley,
my own personal case is similar to your 3rd question. I have initially installed Gallery on a test location, work my way through it and after everything was fine, installed on my live site where it has been for 2 or 3 days without my users knowing it because it's not ready to go live yet.
