i have 2 questions

Hi,

in the admin demo i saw:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
does this mean mod rewrite ?

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
is it also possible to allow guests (unregistered) to rate photos ?

thanks
Andreas

1. NO it is php replacing of characters through some code ;) Mod rewrite is through htaccess

2. Guests can leave comments ratings if you allow it

Url's are in the format script.php/identifier/value/identifier/value/etc/etc

instead of ? and = signs which make it hard for bots to index pages

I would say 18000 DIRECT PAGE links just in google alone is excellent for a little hobby site on coral reef aquariums

There is a total of 56000 links posted of my site throughout google.

Interesting... I haven't looked lately but I have 106,000 links in Google. The long URLs don't seem to be a problem for Google but I suspect it could for some lesser search engines.

Yes its always hit or miss bots are not perfect. Plus it all depends how active you submit your search for spidering as otherwise they only usually find your through links from other sites they spider.

yes, but the content of these pages in google would be even better :)

i think i will buy the script, but i know i will have some things to optimize for google, this is some work..

for me it would be also very important that visitors (guests) have the ability to vote on the 1 to 10 scale (i think this is important to get as fast as possible the good and bad pics sorted)
