How does indexing of images work with Google?

As I understand it, all of the pages are dynamic, so there won't be any way for Google to index the images. Is this correct?

Please advise.

Pages are dynamic meaning generated on the fly but that does not mean they would not get indexed in google.

There is an SEO url feature where urls can be presented like normal html pages like so

http://www.photopost.com/photopost/member-galleries/p7498-katrina-darrell-aka-bikini-girl.html

Versus the normal url which would be

http://www.photopost.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=7498

Would there be any disadvantages to using the SEO url feature where urls can be presented like normal html pages?

Please advise.
