View Full Version : Error when trying to run Upgrade.php
October 11th, 2013, 09:11 AM
I get a white page when trying to run Upgrade.php to upgrade from Photopost Pro 7.01 to latest version. Sent you all the details via Contact Us form at the bottom of this page.
Really appreciate your help either via email or here in the forum if you think it might help others.

Always helps to select the right mysql for your server ;)
You where electing to use mysqli which is not installed on your server setting it to mysql allows the upgrade to be ran. I ran through those so your upgrade is fine you need to follow the instructions and generate your new vb xml file to install.

Many thanks, Chuck!

One more ? Chuck. I'm 90% sure I was running 7.x before I uploaded the new files. Any way you can confirm that for me before I choose the right upgrade script to run?
October 11th, 2013, 11:04 AM
No I can not because I as noted already ran the upgrades from 7.0 to 8.4
As noted you need to redo the xml plugins and go from there.

Oh, you ran the upgrades already. I misunderstood. Thank you very much for that!

Yes no problem just redo your pluigins ;)

Chuck, when I tried to import the generated plugin, I got this error:
XML Error: XML declaration not finished at Line 1
and the product did not import...
October 11th, 2013, 03:35 PM
Follow up question: Do I have to use the plugin? I don't want a photo block in the forum home or in member profiles. Just the galleries themselves.

You will have to install it yes for all the proper navigation. You can turn on or off individual things like photo block etc under admin of the gallery

Can you help me with the XML error I mentioned above when trying to import the plugin?
October 11th, 2013, 07:22 PM
Make sure you set the xml files in the install directory to 777 per the install instructions.
I would have to see your xml to comment further.

My permissions were set correctly and xml file is attached
October 11th, 2013, 11:08 PM
Okay try this
October 12th, 2013, 08:57 AM
It seemed to import correctly, but now I'm not seeing the usual upload/admin/etc links on my gallery page: Home - SeriousCompacts.com Gallery (http://www.seriouscompacts.com/gallery/)

I went ahead and purchased the upgrade installation service for this another Photopost Pro upgrade, and the ReviewPost upgrade I mentioned in another thread so you can do these before I really break something.

Have you altered your vb navbar template because the correct tab is highlighted but your sub navigation menu is not showing.
October 12th, 2013, 08:14 PM
I just reverted my navbar template and it didn't seem to change anything.
October 12th, 2013, 08:25 PM
Okay I figured out it was a plugin interfering and disabled that plugin.
Still, when I try to upload any photo I get an error like this:
SeriousCompacts.com Gallery Message
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127
"/usr/local/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 150x113 -quality 80 -geometry 150x113 -unsharp 10 '/home/asabet/public_html/seriouscompacts.com/gallery/data/500/thumbs/PA120002.jpg'
I'll wait until you have time to look at this now that I purchased the upgrade service. Thank you.

Not a problem that says you have the wrong processor set or path its not a problem I can make sure everything is upgraded and set properly if you purchased the upgrade like I said just make sure the document they send you is sent back.
