Vbulletin upgrade from vb.38 to 4.2
I am at the same point from this thread link below with same errors in box and errors generated after i submit http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-installation-upgrades/149405-no-option-generate-xml.html#post1307829
Wish that it was mentioned officially elsewhere why/how the generate xml link would disappear.. took a while to find the threads on the topic.. and only a couple gave reasons
> No PP plugin exists in vbulletin install
> Generate link doesn't exist
> here is current settings Screenshot by Lightshot (http://prntscr.com/1smiar) Screenshot by Lightshot (http://prntscr.com/1smj96)
> attempted direct url of adm-plugin.php

Have you tried redownloading the 8.41 source? Screenshots only show so much ;)
As to your question I have mentioned in various threads that if you have the plugins installed in vb then the link will not appear this is nothing new. That is an absolute here. However just because so many people just could not figure that out even after I have said it over and over the link actually appears all the time now so you are probably using older code.
It could be as simple as you have not uploaded the newer plugin files. Try uploading adm-plugin.php,download.php and the install folder.
I would definately suggest you redownload the build upload the files noted in the announcement if your not using 8.41 or if you are at minimum adm-plugin.php,download.php and the install folder.

UPDATE: one last issue
I already had 8.41 but I downloaded the latest build and just replaced the following files and i get no error
I still didnt see the XML generate link but atleast the direct link works and the download worked
However, upon upload to VB i got following error... i will check forum
XML Error: XML declaration not well-formed at Line 1
line 1 has the following
<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"ISO-8859-1\"?>
When I replace the "\" and proceed i get following error
Bitfield Collision: allowvideos = credits_cantearn
Bitfield Collision: bypassdp = credits_cantshow
Bitfield Collision: displaywrt = credits_cantaward
Bitfield Collision: canreputation = credits_modawards

For the link to appear you would have to replace adm-misc.php ;)
Well that seems like a plugin conflict I do not know what those variables are what is credits thing?
Try attaching your xml here as a text file so I can look at it or email it to us.

Try editing adm-plugin.php and make sure these lines are noted as posted here and regenerate the plugin and see if that helps you
$body = preg_replace("/\r/","",convert_html(stripslashes($body)));
$bodylines = split("\n",$body);
$numlines = sizeof($bodylines);
$newtmpl = null;
for ($i=0; $i<$numlines; $i++)
$line = $bodylines[$i];
$line = str_replace("textareahtml","textarea",$line);
$line = str_replace("&","&",$line);
$line = str_replace(" "," ",$line);
$line = str_replace("","[img]",$line);
$line = str_replace("","[/img]",$line);
$newtmpl .= $line;

Here is the file...
Yes... adding adm-misc.php made the link appear.
I changed admin-plugin and still not formatted properly

Ok kewl...your updated file looks fine...
k.. a non PP question... How do i debug the conflict? Are those plugins that i have to deactivate?
Its been awhile since doing this
BTW>> i updated my post above.. after making change to admin plugin file... the slashes were still there.. i attached with updated file above...
actually... i think i just have to upgrade the other plugin first to fix my conflict... so no worries...its my credit/points system

I have no idea what that plugin is so really no idea but the xml I posted should work fine on your site.
