View Full Version : Question about installing with vB 4.2.1 and aMember Pro
September 10th, 2013, 04:55 PM
I am trying to install PhotoPost Pro with vBulletin 4.2.1 and aMember Pro 4.2.19. I have installed PhotoPost Pro v841 but I am having problems logging in.
I'm guessing that where I specified information for the user database, I should have used the aMember Pro database which controls membership and not the vBulletin database. But either way I set the config-inc.php file, when I try to login from adm-index.php it takes me to misc.php and displays a blank page in Firefox.
What am I missing?

I should have used the aMember Pro database which controls membership and not the vBulletin database.
That is an incorrect assumption. Our product integrates with vBulletin not Amember. Amember has a plugin that works with our product that would be used when installing as a standalone. I assume your have Amember integrated with vB. Our product integrates with vBulletin and provided you have installed correctly to integrate with vBulletin you would be able to login fine. The Amember vb integration should work the same way there plugin works with ours in inserts a user record into the vb user table.
There are lots of things you can when installing to affect the login like not input the correct database info for vb or table prefix or incorrect cookie settings or cookie salt for that matter. A blank page would seem to suggest you have input the incorrect server path to your vbulletin install so that we can load your vb header footer etc. If you go to your main gallery page and that is what is what you see then this is the first thing you would fix by editing the config-int.php file and placing the proper vb server path on the $vbpath line.
Hard for me to say without you providing us information to look at what you have done.
You can pass along any information through the contact us link.
