View Full Version : Error when moving to other host
September 6th, 2013, 07:02 AM
Hey there Chuck!
I'm in the process of moving a VB-board including PhotoPost to another server. As first step in this, I am moving everything to my local xampp and testing the process out.
I have now experienced an error.
When accessing the forum I get
Warning: require_once(/home/espresso/public_html/forums/galleri/config-int.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]\global.php(29) : eval()'d code on line 89
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/espresso/public_html/forums/galleri/config-int.php' (include_path='.;C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in C:\xampp\htdocs\forums\global.php(29) : eval()'d code on line 89
I have already altered both the VB-paths and photopost paths in both config-int.php and config-inc.php.
Is there anywhere else I need to change the value?

Have you regenerated the xml plugin for vbulletin and reinstalled that? If not check out the plugin for PhotoPost Pro the global variables plugins make sure all info is correct in there.

Thank you! Most of my issues was fixed when I changed the global variables for the plugin in vbulletins admincp.
I have another issue now though.
When entering the gallery I get a lot of warnings like this:
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/espresso/public_html/forums/galleri/data/508/thumbs/IMG_7031.jpg) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/espressobar.dk/:/var/www/tmp/) in [path]/galleri/pp-inc.php on line 4857
It seems like I get one for each picture/thumbnail, and as far as I can see, the error is that the picture link is trying to link to the folder path on the old server. Have I forgot to change the path somewhere? Or does it save all of the old paths for the photos somewhere?
For the record, I have changed the paths in adm-index settings, config-int, config-inc and the vbulletin plugin..

You have not updated the server paths under global options. My suggestion would be to in your photopost admin check both config sections as well as global and storage options and verify all server paths have the correct path. Based on that error I would think your main global options data directory server path is incorrect.

Thanks Chuck! Turns out I had'nt seen the storage menu. Thought everything was in 'all settings' :)
One more question, though.. I have got an ImageMagick error now. When trying to upload a picture, I get this error:
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127
"/usr/local/bin/safe/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 75x100 -quality 70 -geometry 75x100 -unsharp 10 '/var/www/espressobar.dk/public_html/forums/galleri/data/500/thumbs/taske.jpg'
While thinking an error 127 always meant a wrong ImageMagick path, I contacted the host and asked what the path problem was. They are now telling me that the problem is that the thumb it is trying to manipulate doesn't exist in the first place. When running the command directly in shell, it is supposedly returning this error:
/usr/local/bin/safe/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 75x100 -quality 70 -geometry 75x100 -unsharp 10 '/var/www/espressobar.dk/public_html/forums/galleri/data/500/thumbs/taske.jpg'
mogrify: unable to open image `/var/www/espressobar.dk/public_html/forums/galleri/data/500/thumbs/taske.jpg': No such file or directory @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2589.

Really not that I have ever heard of in my life. 127 means mogrify does not exist where your telling the program it is at. If it was an issue trying to create the thumb it would be error code 1.
All I can tell you to do is three things.
1. Very in global options and storage options your server paths are correct.
2. Make sure safe mode is off and the server path to that data directory thumb etc exists.
3. Try uploading with gd2 as the processor.
I have never seen a path to mogrify in some safe directory. mogrify exists in bin. I would not be able to tell you the correct paths on your server. I see three different path structures just in this little support thread. ;)
One minute I think your using windows the next linux. You can view phpinfo in photopost admin to get the proper server paths and once you set all those then all directories under the data folder must exist and be 777 permissions.

Thanks for your reply - again!!
First of all - I understand why you are confused about the paths. The ones I have pasted in this thread are from 3 different servers; my offline test machine with windows, the old server path that I had accidently not changed for the new one, and now the right linux path for the new server. Sorry about that mess! :-)
I have decided to give up on the ImageMagick. Since what the host tells me doesn't correspond with what you tell my, I don't think I will ever figure it out. Of to GD2 now!!
I have managed to get the upload process running without errors, but it's pretty clear that the photos doesn't end up on the server. Have a look for yourself:
Diverse - My Photo Gallery (http://espressobar.dk.linux49.unoeuro-server.com/forums/galleri/showgallery.php?cat=509)
I am really confident that all paths are right by now and that the data folder is chmoddet to 777, recursively for every file and subfolder. What else might cause this behaviour? :)
Thanks! Your help is really appreciated.

You do realize that your urls server paths are incorrect right? ;)
Look at the url above
Now look at the real url
You need to set the proper urls and server paths in global and storage options in admin and I think you will find it works.
This entire discussion in this thread has been about using the proper paths and permissions and posting a real url helps illustrate your issue thanks. Fix that and you should be okay.

Wow.. Did I really make that mistake? Haha, that's kinda embarassing that I couldn't see it myself :o
But hey - thanks!! I really appreciate you pointing it out for me.
Now - I think - the only thing left is to get the comments/picture count right in forumhome. I have tried scanning the database in order to rebuild the counters, but that doesn't work out.. What to do?

Well how is it off. The photo and comment counts are for the category the photo is from.
Reeftalk Forums (http://www.reeftalk.com/forums/forum.php)
Your missing your category name thats the only thing I see wrong.
That could be because you have seo urls off and the plugin needs to be updated. You can edit the forumhome featured photos plugin and add the code in bold below the lines noted in that plugin.
if ( $vbulletin->options['pp_spider'] == "seo" )
$seocatname = photourlsafe( $catname );
$ptitle = photourlsafe( $ptitle );
$seocatname = $catname;

That makes sense! I wasn't aware that the counter was showing the numbers for the category, since it din't show what category it was. I just realized that the numbers were the same, which I haven't ever seen before :-)
I'll look into it!

Yep the plugin has always been coded with the category name and counts for the category I know that much as I created the plugins ;)
