View Full Version : Cannot locate XML generate link
August 28th, 2013, 03:23 PM
I've searched on the forums and realize this should show up as long as I followed directions.
Yet despite having turned on the Vbulletin ehanced option during install, made sure all Photopost plugins/products were not present from Vbulletin admin panel, changed the permissions on the files as instructed, I cannot find that generate XML link.
Is it possible that an old Photopost plugin/product remains in my Vbulletin directory (even though it should have been deleted long ago)? If so, where could I check
Are there any other ideas on how to figure out why that link is not generating?

I tried to generate the XML file using the direct link. That worked.
But then when I added the XML file to my Vbulletin, it crashed the forum.
The following error showed on the screen:
Warning: require_once(^pppath/config-int.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/global.php(29) : eval()'d code on line 84
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '^pppath/config-int.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/SITE/public_html/community/global.php(29) : eval()'d code on line 84

Did you set the xml files to 777 in the install directory per the upgrade or install instructions before you generated the plugin. Try that and generate another plugin.

Yes, made sure that was the case, generated another plugin, added the plugin, and getting the same error unfortunately.

That has to be a permissions issue on the server then. The adm-plugin.php file does write what is in the box displayed on adm-plugin.php to a file called product-pppro.xml. We have a stock on that is there stock that you set permissions to 777 on and that should be updated.
I have seen a couple installs over the years have trouble writing permissions to files.
Anyway there is two ways you can do this.
1. You can delete the product-pppro.xml file on the server in the install directory and then in turn set the install directory to 777 permissions and see if that file will be generated into the install directory.
2. You can copy and paste the code in the text box on adm-plugin into notepad and save that as product-pppro.xml and install that into vbulletin.
Remember if your trying to install a plugin into vb hit the overwrite button if you already have a broken plugin already installed but disabled so you can overwrite the bad code otherwise nothing would change.

Thanks. That got it working.
Two things I noticed are broken:
Generate Google Site Map:
Warning: mysql_query() expects parameter 2 to be resource, object given in /home/SITE/public_html/photos/pp_sitemap.php on line 42
Warning: mysqli_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, null given in /home/SITE/public_html/photos/pp_sitemap.php on line 43
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [path]/includes/class_core.php:5698) in /home/SITE/public_html/photos/pp-inc.php on line 3993
leads to a blank page
More importantly, is there no way to transfer all of the member's Vbulletin albums into Photopost?
I was under the assumption that all the photos my 17,000 members uploaded to the Vbulletin albums would somehow be available in Photopost?

Manage Albums would be an empty page if you have no personal albums. ;)
There is no functinonality to import vb profile albums into our product. I know we do not advertise such an ability.
Line 42 of pp_sitemap should read ppmysql_query not mysql_query.
