View Full Version : PHP errors on upload page after vBGallery Install
August 12th, 2013, 01:28 PM
We just installed vBGallery 3.02 with a new install of vB 4.2.1, and it all seems to be running smoothly, except for a PHP error that shows up twice at the top of the gallery upload page. The error is: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/functions_gallery.php on line 2779
How do I get that to go away? It doesn't seem to affect uploads (uploads seem to work just fine), but obviously I don't want that showing up there, and if it indicates something's out of place, then I'd like to get it fixed...

I will have to do some testing and let you know what I see.

I would have to see how you have things set. That error seems to be from custom fields code in that file. Do you have any custom fields defined?

No, we have done nothing custom to any of the gallery files.

Should I try reuploading that particular file?

I will do a clean install and see what I see but that particular line refers to custom fields.
If you go to your vbgallery settings do you have anything entered under the custom field section or have custom fields turned on?
Also while I am setting up my own fresh test what version of PHP are you using?

Okay, sorry--yes. There were two custom fields entered (by a team member, unbeknownst to me). I deleted them, and the upload page is fine now.
What purpose do the custom fields serve? If we decide we want to use them in the future, will it cause this problem again?

I will do some testing making my own custom fields and see. I can not say without further testing. It could be how they entered them that is the issue so we shall see.
