Is it possible to turn free ads off for one usergroup?
I would like to set one usergroup to have to pay for all ads.

Sure free ads is only active if you elect to have a number of free ads to give them otherwise payment settings are as you set them.

Ok, So in the UserGroup Editor, the option for unlimited is "0", otherwise, it seems you must allow at least "1". How should this option be set?

The whole basis of the free ads thing is you can set a number of free ads that a user can have before they have to pay if payment is enabled. If free ads is 0 it is essentially disabled or inactive however you say it so yes you would put a number for the amount of free ads you want to allow before they would be presented with payment.

I guess the part I found confusing is when I go to "Edit UserGroups", I see "(0 means 'unlimited')".
I thought, because to the page layout that it would apply to all three columns, Upload File Size Limit (kB), Max Ads Limit?, and Free Ads?.

Probally an oversite on wording ;) By nature of the variable name FREE ADS basically this setting is there to allow usergroups a set number of ads before they have to pay.
Like for example you can set 3 free ads for any specific usergroup but if you have not enabled payment and set all the various payment features in the categories then the whole discussion is mute. The user in that usergroup would never get prompted for payment because you do not have it enabled and free ads would do nothing since they can post all the ads they want.
The code in uploadproduct.php for free ads does not even run unless free ads is greater than 0
