View Full Version : 4images Importer problem

We have a problem with this importer and mayb you can help us a Little to try to fix it...
We have integrated your gallery script into our new vbulletin forum
Our old images gallery uses a different data base and it's users are different in their names, emails and even they can be only registered in 4images and not in our vbulletin forum
This way when we reassign userid's, we have many problems because it is not correct and shows images that don't belong to his real users or authors...
Understand what I mean?
Thanks a lot!

There is nothing I can do for you about that did we not already talk about this. There is nothing wrong with the importer. This importer is written to import content into photopost pro. If your integrated with another product like vBulletin and your 4images was not and those users do not exist in vBulletin then the photos would be orphaned or if you mistakenly ran a realign usernames in your gallery admin those photos would be owned by someone else because you just changed there username. Remember I linked you to a script that religned userids based off it if found one in the forum database with the username.
Aside from that there is literally nothing I can do about the legitimacy of your data when your importing a standalone database of content into another site where your users would not exist because the username is of another product.
If you wanted to make sure every single photo belonged to the proper user you would need to go back to step1 make sure every single user from 4mages exists and is registered on your forum with the exact username redo the import and then rerun the userfix script I linked.

There is no product support for your issue if that is what your asking.
You would have to physically register any user into vbulletin that does not exist and redo your import freshly and then run the userfix script like you did before.
We am not going to register or manipulate your user data for you for an issue that really has nothing to do with our product. Your issue is because you are importing standalone content into a forum integration and your users do not exist. There is nothing I can do about that for you.
In fact if I remember right you posted earlier you knew about this issue and had a team of guys etc who are working or will work on this very issue of users who did not exist.
