View Full Version : 8.1 to 8.3 Problems
June 8th, 2013, 05:37 PM
I just upgraded from 8.1 to 8.3 and the upgrade process was successful however it doesn't appear successful: Action Figure photo gallery - ActionFigs.com Photo Gallery (http://photos.actionfigs.com/)
I have used the new config files as well.

What appears to me is maybe a file or files are corrupt on upload like uploading them in binary when they should be ascaii or some sort of corruption.
Alot of things print out like so
2006 Anime Expo - ActionFigs.com Photo Gallery (http://photos.actionfigs.com/g1311-2006-anime-expo.html)
Basically your pp-inc.php file looks like its corrupt so try reuploading. It may be just that one file but try uploading all the main core php files.
8.31 is running on many sites. I just did an upgrade yesterday and all is fine.

Ok, I reuploaded the files and it worked. Still no option to have the legacy layout (right column details back under the photo instead of the right column)?

Have you set the option in showphoto options?
Show the Photo Details on the bottom of the photo versus the right?

Didn't see it! :)
One other question... I am trying to generate the XML file. I have the perms set to 777 but I keep getting this error:
<b>Warning</b>: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in <b>/home/xxx/public_html/photos/adm-plugin.php</b> on line <b>113</b><br />

Does your install directory exist?
Basically that error tells me that we can not grab the xml file to load so that you can generate it. If your using vbulletin 4.2x the file is source-vbulletin42.xml.
while (list($linenum,$line) = each($tempfile))

Yes, it's how I was able to view the Generate link. Now I deleted it and re-uploaded it and the Generate link is no longer there. Yet if I go to the PP index, I see the "For security reasons, please remove the install directory from your server before proceeding." message. Very strange...

No not strange at all. If you have already installed the vb plugin we hide the link in admin.
You can go directly to the plugin script if you choose the documentation states to delete any vb plugins before generating new ones but anyway here is the plugin script location.
I am just commenting on your error that suggests that we can not read the file.

I figured it out... the config settings in the int file were not set ($pp_db_prefix).

Yeah that will cause an issue if those are not correct. ;)
