Okay just updating you all with something I am working on here.

HTML5 became a valid suggested action in December of 2012. As noted in our features our application is 100% XHTML valid as is most of the 20 some integrations we support.

Xenforo and vBulletin 5 are both HTML5 validated. I will as time allows be writing table free template sets for those applications.

However I figured I would spend some time working on our standalone style since that would be the first step. Integration with alot of the forums we support prevent table free designs due to constraints with supporting the style matching to make things look similar to the forum.

I have almost got things 100% validated using the standalone style with HTML5. I have lots more work to do as once I get things looking right I need to look into any issues that come up before I can release anything final.

Anyone have any comments about html 5 validation? Gonna go off and write up a xenforo html5 template set based off there

Well I have been just tidying up our xhtml to html5 with a new xenforo template set and the product thus far is way more html5 compliant that the actual xenforo forum product which has about 65-70 html5 errors per page. I have my index down to 3 errors and those all come from xenforo itself not our product.

I have not even gone through yet and developed a table free design yet like I did for the standalone product.

Going to be fun but when I have something concrete to show for xenforo I will post.

Okay I am working on how to best write and support a xenforo template set so I need some customers using xenforo to post a link to there forum so I can see there style. Hopefully people using the non standard styles.

Before I go too far in one direction or another I need to decide which path to take. I can clean up the current template set to be fully html5 compliant or I can write a completely table free design but to do that I need more info on the various styles of xenforo so I can see if thats feasible.

Okay 8.4 should be out by the end of the week. I am about 80% through the xenforo template set making sure they are HTML 5 compliant.
