View Full Version : Moving Servers.

We are moving from shared hosting to a dedicated server. Prior to the move I have created a test website because I will take advantage of the move to upgrade to the latest version.
Anyway, I managed to install on the test website, restore DB, modified the 2 config files to point to the new website (IP Address), however, I am missing something...
I still have references of the LIVE website on the TEST website, what other files need to be modified besides the 2 config files?
Thanks for the help!

This should assist you the setting table holds all the server paths and urls. The config file is just the settings for file paths and database info so you can get the specific info.

I modify the setting in table PP_Settings and I alomost got it, however when I log into the admin panel I get this error :
Warning: opendir(/home7/sidexsid/public_html/forums/photopost/data/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in [path]/photopost/adm-inc.php on line 690
Warning: readdir() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/photopost/adm-inc.php on line 693
The directory shouldn't be /home7/ but /home/ not sure what I missed?
I changed both configs and pp_settings.

Got the above error fixed, howver now when I try to modify comments, I get this error:
Warning: require_once([path]/includes/functions_wysiwyg.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/photopost/comments.php on line 32
Could it be because I upgraded my VB to 4.2.0 and still haven't upgraded PP? I am currently running 7.0.

Thanks for all the help so far Chuck, well I think I got my test website up and running to the latest version of PP. However I use the PP in French and I am noticing that the sub-nav is still in English even if I selected the French language in config? Any ideas?

Your plugin which is part of vbulletin is not part of your gallery it is a vb plugin and the language strings added are in english which is how we release it. You would have to translate those strings into french in vbulletin phrase manager.
