Just installed latest version of Photopost on VB 4.1.11 and I get the following error : You are not a valid administrator or moderator!.
My forum cookies are set correctly:
Path to saved cookies /
Cookie Domain .mywebsite.ca
On step 4 of the install I set the cookie name to bb and I ensured in my vb config that bb was the correct cookie prefix.
I login and out, and cleared my browser cache and cookies and I still can't login?

One more thing, I opted to install Photopost in its own DB, could this have an impact?

On the initial config make sure your vb database is placed where we ask for user database and on step 4 make sure you input the proper vbulletin mysql table prefix so we can import and setup usergroups.
That should solve that issue.

On step 4 I indicated vb_ which is the default vbulletin table prefix, correct? When you mention initial config, what are you making reference to?

On the first step of install the config settings under user database must be your vb info.

Thanks Chuck! All installed, however I get this error now :
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1
"/usr/bin/convert" -strip -resize "104x" -resize "x80<" -gravity center -crop 104x80+0+0 -quality 70 -unsharp 10 '/home2/utvplane/public_html/forums/photopost/data/512/thumbs/SIX2324_1330_a_rgb.jpg'

We use mogrify not convert as noted in the config you must set the correct path to mogrify or use GD2 as your processor

Thanks Chuck for the help, switched to GD2 for now until my host can provide me the correct path.
I have another question.
I use a purchased skin for my website. Photopost took the skin correctly. However the fonts being displayed by Photopost are not the same as the purchased skin?
I was wondering why? do you have any pointers?

not something I can say without seeing what your talking about.
If your talking about vb the fonts should be coming from the forum style since that is what we load. There is no photopost style loaded in a vb install.

I agree. However it seems that most of the font sytles are defined int the additional.css, could this be the reason that photopost isn't picking them up? If so, do you have any suggestions.
March 26th, 2012, 09:17 AM
we load the additional.css template as it is a vb css file sure one should do that.
Our style comes mainly from our stylesheet which is photopost.css and is mapped to certain vbulletin stylevars.
It all depends on the style class your talking about. Obviously we match things against the default vb stylesheet and its classes. That does not mean though our templating is going to be a clone of vbulletin. If you have some custom style that uses special parameters then you might have to investigate that. It is not something I could just guess on like I said since I have no idea what your referring to.
My little hobby site is pretty much a clean default vb4 Pro install. If you want me to respond to a specific question that might help you then you need to provide a url like I said before and specifically what your trying to change. That way I can see what your trying to change.

I have the same error trying to enter adm-index.php
I use the same database for VB4 and PP.
In my database, I see that the table "pp_usergroups" is empty.
Table "pp_users" is empty too, but when I open the gallery with a user, his details are inserted into "pp_users" correctly.
Can you give me a clue how to solve this?

You would need to run the install correctly to import the vb usergroups that is step 4 where you specify the correct table prefix for the vb tables
You can also if you are familiar with phpmyadmin just insert a record in pp_usergroups with name Administrators groupid of 6 and cpaccess of 1. That should get admin in and then you can use the resync usergroups option under edit usergroups in admin to pull everything in.
