View Full Version : Gallery tab not showing in vB 4 navbar

Ok I am slamming my head over this and can't figure it out (after searching for 3+ hours).
I have PhotoPost Pro fully installed and functional. I am running vB 4.1 with vBa CMPS for the front page.
My problem is that I don't see a TAB for Galleries (or anything) in the vBulletin navbar. I have placed a manual link to my PhotoPost galleries in my vBa quick site nav module. I even have a vBa "recent photos" module on my front page. However if you enter my forums, there is no way to directly link back to the PhotoPost galleries without returning to the home page and navigating from there.
Is there supposed to be a PhotoPost navbar tab (by default) in vBulletin?

There is no tab by default with PP7 series or below that is one thing going to be included in PP8 but its all done the same by mods to vbulletin since your talking about your forum not gallery product.

Thanks Chuck. I was having a deja vu moment all over again :) I could have sworn I had a gallery tab up there - but I've been doing so much work with the navbar (curse them!) that I thought I might have edited it out :)
I'm gonna go ahead and use the mod they have to create one from scratch with the sub menus and drop downs. Didn't want to bother if there was already one there by default. I like your mod I just have all my preview modules formatted already - all I need is the navbar tab.

Yeah the mod I linked you puts a navtab for the gallery product there.

Alright Chuck I've got a question for you.
I am using a tab mod in vbulletin, and I am trying to figure out how to keep the tab highlighted as "active" when I am in PhotoPost. In order to do this, the php file name and the THIS_SCRIPT value needs to match.
On my site, the default vBulletin forum THIS_SCRIPT value is "index". Photopost default THIS_SCRIPT value is "ppindex" - so that is fine.
However the default vBulletin php index is "index.php" while the default PhotoPost index is "index.php" as well. What I really want to do is change the PhotoPost php to "ppindex.php".
If I do this, will I break everything? How much manually editing will this entail>?
EDIT LOL I'm a stud :) I just put up a duplicate "ppindex.php" file in the same directory as my default "index.php" for PhotoPost - an exact copy. Then I pointed my navigation at ppindex.php and everything works like a charm!

You need to install and use the mod I noted instead of some other navbar thing.
