View Full Version : Search not working
November 14th, 2011, 03:36 PM
Everything in my Gallery is working fine except for the search. Whenever a search query is submitted, the /gallery/ is left out of the URL. I would normally attribute this to me having not entered in the correct gallery URL under vBGallery -> Modify Settings -> Title, URL's & Paths, but I have http://mysite.com/gallery entered in there and like I said, everything else in my gallery is working just fine.

I am just trying to figure out where your at or having the issue. If I hit search on my test gallery everything seems fine so please post a url login if necessary and exact steps to replicate your issue.

With all the threads I have going on here, this thread kind of slipped through the cracks.
Could you go to my gallery: TRC Gallery (http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/gallery/index.php).
Click on the Search link (or dropdown if you're logged in), type something in and hit search. You'll see that error that I'm talking about. I sent login details (for a separate issue) yesterday via the Contact Form if you need to login to the admin console. If you need me to send you login details again just let me know.

I think I may have misunderstood your last reply. Did you need something from me before you can test this?

How about making line 110 of search.php the forward to browseimages.php this
$vbulletin->url = $vbulletin->options['bburl'] . 'browseimages.php?' . $vbulletin->session->vars['sessionurl'] . 'do=searchresults&searchid=' . $searchid;

Changing line 110 didn't work:(
Where is the setting for the baseurl?
EDIT: I just found the setting. It's called "Always use Forum URL as Base Path". It was set to yes. I changed it to no and the search function is now working. Hopefully doing this didn't crash anything else but there's only one way of finding out:)
