View Full Version : Don't use language template
October 26th, 2011, 01:31 PM
I'm using PhotoPost Classifieds Template Options.
Each template is differents between them.
In /languages/english/uploadproduct1.php I have the following variable :
$pp_phrase['producttitle'] = "Title for your Ad";
In /languages/english/uploadproduct2.php I have the following variable :
$pp_phrase['producttitle'] = "What is it you are looking for?";
On my website, when I upload a new ad that using each template (0,1,2,3,4), it display always "Title for your Ad"
What's wrong ?
My website is now on production :(

Have you assigned a category to the different template set?
I did a quick test made sure the ad type personals was active and created a category named personals and changed that string it displays fine.
Now are you not using a foreign language? If thats the case you need to actually edit that foreign language template set.
The full instructions for alternate template sets is here but that only talks about the english language we include with our software. If you are using a foreign language you need to create a foreign language directory with the meantioned files.

Yes, I have set template in each category I'm using.
I'm using your software since 2 or 3 years without problem :)
Last month I've upgraded to the latest vesion.
Yes I'm using a foreign language (French) and I've created a directory with my language in the language directory. I've copied all english files in there. These files are just translated.

Like I said I will take a look but feel free to visit my site and login with testman and testing and try uploading to the personals category I setup you will definately see the wording is what I place in that file.
The coding is very specific if a category is set to an alternate template set we load that alternate language file.

Problem solved !
Thanks for your help.
Upgrading from version 3 is not so simple than copy files and upgrade.php...

Upgrading from version 3 is as simple as uploading all the files and running the upgrade. Most people make the mistake of not updating all the files and most definately all the files would have changed since version 3.
