View Full Version : Wp.php: How to show display_name instead of user_login
August 15th, 2011, 10:30 AM
By default, using wp.php the username equals the wp_user-table user_login.
I would love to change that to the value display_name.
What would I need to change / add in wp.php to display that value as username?
Added: Without screwing up the login-function :)

Well if I get time I may work on that but off hand if you are trying to do that yourself you would need to pull the display name as well in the queries and define its variable name in the list query. The where we define in the authenticate function the user username to the login name you place an if clause that if the display name exists use than instead of display name
