January 9th, 2011, 04:17 AM
B=0Hi Everyone I am new to photpost and I have a question, I have never installed a gallery before and I am completely new to this, now this might sound like the dummest question you have ever heard but, after installing all the files, where exactly can I see the gallery page? or do I have to do some kind of setup to access the actual gallery page? any help would be very much appreciated ThanksB=0

PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Photo Gallery Installation Guide (http://www.photopost.com/installphp.html)
Vanessa the installation instructions should assist you in the install of the product.

Thanks for your response, But I still cannot get the gallery up and running, anyway I am going to have my webguy do this for me, there is no way for anyone to steal my copy if I only have the files on the host correct? I am not sure as the files make up the program, let me know thanks

Vanessa if you only have uploaded all the files then yes no one can steal it because they can not access the php files. The install is merely setting permissions on some files directories and running an install script.

HI again Chuck
the web guy says he needs the install.php file in order to have it installed, I am so scared as I dont want him to steal it, should I upload this file, he has access to my file manager so he can still snatch it from there what else can i do?

If you want the application installed yes you must upload the whole thing for him.

That would tell me you have not uploaded all the files to the server.
You need to upload the entire unzipped folder of files to your server. There should be a subdirectory called langiages and a file called english.php in it.

I actually did upload everything here is what the file manager looks like. and I see english right there, how much would it cost to have you guys install it, would it be less expensive since all the files are already there? check this link out please

Your languages directory is capitalized? that is not normal name the directory correctly as languages lowercase and your issue will go away
