View Full Version : A discussion regarding PhotoPost PRO 8 features

Michael P

Okay, next topic.... features.

First off, specifically, what can we remove that just contributes to "code bloat" and little benefit? I am thinking the Send Ecard feature is something that is outdated and rarely used in the era of "sharing" features.

Are ecards still relative?

Also, do people like having the flexibility to change the layouts of each category (thumbnails, with titles, puzzle and details)?

What about the whole voting/contest functionality?

Trying not to do everything would greatly simplify codes and templates.

More AJAX coming....

1. add additional fields in the upload form

2. Voting picture of the day

Whity you can already have unlimited upload fields on upload for every specific category you define them under edit categories in Admin.

The voting features of the program need to be moderized agree there.

No, I would like to add the choice of location watermark in the photo at the time of upload.
And the checkbox, which cancels the watermark (if the user upload someone else's photo)

Michael P

Hi, Whity. I don't see that being an option during upload, honestly. I think it could be done with a modification, but I dont see that being built into the product.

I would like to see advertising spaces in photopost 8 Controlled from the admin CP

Is that planed?

It's possible; I need to get the UI stuff sorted out first, then we can look at adding stuff to it like advertising.

I would like to have the possibillity to search users comments easier. Like in membersprofile -> statistics, the number of uploaded photos is clickable and direct you immediatly to the photos. Me and my members would like to do the same with users comments. The number of comments is showing at statistics but ist's not a direct link to the given comments now. Would be nice if it was though.

I like have a photo edit program.
I have this al done in Vbulletin (plugin) but it seems me nice do use it in photopost
This is the one I use now in Vbulletin: Photo editor online - Pixlr.com edit image (http://www.pixlr.com)
Integration in photopost 8?

ECards in Queue are 0 now in my gallery. I think that function would be swapped for a simple version of send to friend or sharing in facebook and other social media.
After all spreading the word is what it's all about.

The contest option needs improvements, and will be very popular once it's works. All galleries want this option.

This option I suggested sounds good.. at least to me

http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-suggestions/145275-photo-x-automatic.html

Control of witch category shows what. Like for contest category option to show exif info but just there and what category shows what custom pals. Treat categories like CMS pages.

Yes, but being able to set the default site wide would be nice.

No. Toss it.

Nice.

Consider the option to hide the photos info (title, description, etc) until you hover it and then explode it. Simplify the presentation of thumbs and photos. The current presentation is very much dated.

Far too many people use the contest functionality and most customers have requested expanded functionality on contests. It is one of the number one suggestions. I have already passed this on to Michael so I doubt we will toss contents ;)

:eek::confused:

Let's hope not...

As with all these option users can disable them or enable them, use them or don't use them.

I think with a good contest option Photopost would rise in sales and be more popular.

If you take a look at how they show:

the e-card function sounds like a good idea, but no one ever uses it on my big board. I dont mind that its there either.

Mobile applications: let members upload photos and videos straight from their mobile phone/iphone/android.

Harvest images from vbulletin attachment manager. The attachment manager allows members to see the images they have posted in threads and many of them would be nice to have in my PP gallery. Now they are hidden in threads.

An option to hide the user, title, description, etc below the thumbs would be nice. The intent is to clean things up. Display that by exploding that info when you hover the thumb.

An option to share or like a photo or gallery for FB would be nice.

index.php could there be an option to show in a clean way ratings and comments?

Maybe small Icons and numbers

Photopost is not only a gallery for photos it is for discussions of photos and the discussion part is not visible enough.

I feel this index.php is only for viewers who click and click, many users view photos based on comments and ratings only.

Now with the categories on the site like that is it possible to show users albums in the same way?

Michael P
March 10th, 2011, 08:05 AM
Thank you, Geiri. I'm in the process of separating out rating and comments, I've also removed the comments.php Post A Comment page to keep it all on the photo page (except for editing, which may also go inline). Once I get the basics all wrapped up, I'll then start integrating the discussions and ratings deeper into the index.php side.

I have not yet gone to rework albums or contest pieces yet, but will be working on how to better integrate those as well.

1) layout flexibility improved - takes a bit of hacking currently
2) must keep contests - i use them and will into the future -
3) mobile uploads - in a previous incarnation of my gallery i used this - wasn't that popular but uploading via iphone and android systems is far easier now and I think this would work given the way newer phones work - create an android and iphone app to do it and you'd be sooo far in front of the competition - image you create a base app for each system which could be generic to PP galleries or modified at our cost

I turned off the e-card function because for myself as a pro photographer, I don't want anyone using my photos in ecards where the recipient gets the idea they can now print the photo for the making of their own card.

We just purchased CDN for the vB side of our website, so if it also worked with PP, that would be great.

I would like to see the option to set categories where once photos are placed there by the admin, those photos can no longer be deleted or moved by the members, i.e. finalists and winners in contests. :)
For the past 8 months, I had to turn the delete option off globally which isn't sitting well for all members.

I was going to suggest Anja's idea as well to be able to search a members photo comments like we do when we click to show all forum posts.

As for the voting, we haven't been using it, but creating code in a vB forum post as a poll where members vote. But, to have voting on the PP side would be nice if there were options to prevent the count of the votes being seen by members until admin makes them visible at the end of the contest. Would also like the info available to admins only as to which members placed votes on each photo.

Might be nice if admins can set the amount of votes that can be placed in designated categories. Not sure if this is feasible program wise. So that we could have the members give their vote on what image they feel should be in the finals, but not allowed to vote on their own image :D If its possible to set it that members can't vote on their own image, then maybe have that as an option yes/no to vote on their image at the time the category voting is set.

The ability by the admin to place code on an image that could link and display small ribbons for the winners within the thumbnail views. Right now, I've been using a link in the descriptions of the winning photos to give them ribbons, which I want to continue doing as shown below, but....
POTQ POTM POTW'The Rains Come to Chobe' - buddy4344 - BytePhoto Galleries (http://www.bytephoto.com/photopost/member-27s-photo-albums/p101144-potq-potm-potw-27the-rains-come-to-chobe-27buddy4344.html)

If members were looking at their album of photos viewing the thumbs, its not easy for them or others viewing their gallery of thumbs to see which were the winners unless they viewed each image large. So if there was some way for us to create our own small ribbon graphics, would be helpful.

I'm sure I have other ideas that I can pass along as they come to mind.

What I've found is that there is allot of complexity in combining javascript libraries - jqery and prototype, for example, have taken allot of work for even some functionality to remain. Adding in more commercial javascript libraries is not likely to be effective across our wide customer base and supporting all those script becomes extremely cumbersome.

For us, if it was set that way with the user name etc on the right and we had no way to change it, it wouldn't work for us since we place ads and other info on our far right.

You currently have the filmstrip on the right side, too; the filmstrip would move to below the photo and your right column could remain.

I would suggest smaller medium images if you are going to try and put that much stuff across.

oops, just saw this reply. I just thought of something else, what about the exif data? All photography related websites, the photographers need the exif data, it helps them learn and also for the person that critiques to know how to help them. The exif always displayed under the user info. If the user info is on the right, the exif data doesn't look like it will all fit?

I also place all the contest ribbons in description, you can see how I did it below, its just an image path. I have more than 3 years worth of ribbons since I took over the website and plan to go back as far as 2003 to do all the currently active members wins.
Sam won POTW, POTM, POTQ, and if he won Best of Category and overall photo of the year, he would have 2 more ribbons.

Some more feature requests:
Add CKeditor to PP comments (http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-suggestions/145779-add-ckeditor-photopost-comments.html#post1287301)

Forum editor: upload to PP / insert PP image (http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-suggestions/145780-forum-editor-upload-pp-insert-pp-image.html#post1287302)

Currently PP is a complete separate system from the forum which is a real handicap for user experience. It creates the necessity for forum admins to keep on the lookout for alternatives to PP. Simply because an integrated experience is needed.

Another feature request:
Reputation & like function (http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-suggestions/145793-reputation-like-function.html)

I really believe that the lack of integration between photopost and forums is the biggest weakness it has.

Features that are rarely used and can do without:

1. Commision Junction
2. Ecards
3. Custom view - (thumbnails..etc)
4.

Features needs:

1. Automatic thumbnail generation for videos
2. Share button for social media sites such as FB, Twitter
3. API- Login and commenting / voting of photos via other social media / Google credentials etc.
4. Better search engine within PP

here is a better idea of what I think would work well with those of us that run contests.

I already place links in the description area with the code so I can give the winning images ribbons.

See below

http://www.photopost.com/photopost/data/500/medium/potw-demo.png

What I would also like to do is be able to use the same type link to a small graphic I create to be able to display ribbons while viewing in galleries.

something like this. right now placing the same link to a graphic doesn't work by placing the code within the title. The graphic below was just done by cut and paste to use as a demo.
Its not actual coding that made the little ribbons show up

If its not possible to place in the title, would it be easier to create a new field only seen by admins to edit and have access for us to place image links for our purposes?

Please add a search controller to PP8 images and comments.

Similar to how this modification ads a search controller to vbulletin blog comments:
Search Controller: New Blog Comments - vBulletin.org Forum (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=264341)

This would allow new images and comments to turn up in 'whats new' and this would extremely improve usability, visibility and integration.

Please add a function to disable the PP profile. Its extremely confusing to have a PP profile when Photopost is integrated with a forum like vbulletin. When the PP profile is disabled, all profile links should point to the forum profile.

Chuck S
June 15th, 2011, 09:46 AM
Well considering profile links there are matters that need to be considered and a reason why PhotoPost has its own profile.I can go into this in some depth here. We offer two galleries PhotoPost Pro which has a wealth of time tested options and features that users want and love. Our gallery while it supports integration with 20 different forum or cms products that brings its own limitations. We also offer vbGallery which is completely written to integrate with vbulletin. This is done through plugins and files and may offer a better integration with the vbulletin framework since it was written for that. It however does not have all the features that Pro offers.

So that brings us to the limitations of Pro in some regards which might not offer certain aspects that vbgallery does. Our application is a standalone application which has to integrate with 20 different forums. For instance in vbulletin it does not even know Pro exists. So offering the forum profile link to users would create a bug in affect. The Pro profile link is where a user would be shown and able to moderate there subscriptions notifications aspects like that. This would not be shown on the forum.

Now I went a step further in vbulletin 4 and I offer users a set of plugins to show Pro content on the forum so it does replicate our gallery user stuff into the forum profile. However this is a mod I created and personally released it would still require users to modify there PhotoPost Pro files the profile links. I beleive I even posted what changes would need to be made.

The Company itself does not support any mods users have made. To support what you want the only way I see is to properly check your vb database to see if the photopost plugin mod is installed and then changes I have discussed would require one more query on any page that accesses a profile link to see if the plugin exists to allow us to convert the links to the forum. The overall products has to remain compatible with all our forum types. The company is not going divert the profile link to the forum automatically without an absolute check thus preventing users from being able to administer there gallery content. We throw ideas back and forth all the time but I can tell you it is endless work improving our product and also trying to support 20 different applications and remain compatible with all our options. Right now I am working on the templating for the new PP8 trying to incorporate alot of work Michael has done into the templates we have right now that support various forum integrations which require alternate template sets.

Alfa1
June 20th, 2011, 08:22 PM
I find vbGallery so basic in functionality, that i do not even find it an option.

Regarding user profiles: there are countless addons that integrate with a large number of forum / community software applications. Almost all link directly to the community profile. It doesn't matter if the community software is vbulletin, phpfox, elgg, xenforo or something else. If dozens of other addons can do it, surely Photopost Pro should be able to. If current limitations prevent this, then I think a rewrite should be considered.
At least the admin should have the option to turn the PP profile off.
On my big board no one administers their gallery content. They just upload images and thats all.

Chuck S
June 20th, 2011, 09:33 PM
I hear what your saying but remember Photopost Pro is not a vbulletin addon or plugin it is a full featured gallery that may integrate with a list of forums we note. vbGallery is an addon which is made for vbulletin and works like the other apps your talking about.

The only way to put pro stuff into vb is plugins and currently these are all mods or hacks as it is called not part of the product because that is not how Pro is designed. Pro can use the vb header footer style login but it is not part of vb. vb does not even know Pro exists.

Like I said it would be possible to add some kind of check for a specific vb pro plugin and change profile links but it is a matter of what is core product and what is considered a hack/mod.

Could you list what changes you made? Im probably missing a lot because I am not yet using PP on vb4.

Homepage
I see that there is a php widget on the homepage.

Forum
In your forum i see a featured photos block. (that would look better in the side bar or as a jquery slider IMHO)

Gallery
In your gallery there is no profile integration, avatar integration, reputation, 'Whats new' does not show new images or gallery comments, but only forum posts.
The block with 'most recent', 'popular' and 'random' would look nice with jquery tabs.

Why is there a bar with 'home' and 'register' at the top? You already have a register button at the right top and a 'home' button at the left top of the page. Its confusing to have two of each.
There are also 2 search boxes on the gallery page. One is for PP and one is for the rest of the website. This is confusing as well.

The widgets shown at the left seem to be PP widgets. Is it possible to show vbCMS or forum sidebar widgets? There is an addon on vb.org called 'widgets everywhere'. Maybe that can be modified to include PP. Showing vb widgets in the gallery would create a more unified UXD as well.

The general look is more 'vbulletin' which is good, as the user will see it more as a part of the site, instead of a completely isolated system. If the user experience would follow, then that would be awesome.

The problem with most flash players is finding one true open source you can add into commercial software like ours. If I can find one I am sure I can add it in easily enough.
JWplayer is the most used player and has licenses for commercial software.

My site your seeing is a test site with Pro 8 and I have been working on integrating it a bit more so it works with more styles a little better like we do vbGallery. It requires some style classes added to the vb additional.css file but I think it looks better.

Still other stuff your referring to that shows stuff on vbulletin is done through a product plugin that is currently not part of the commercial code it is a plugin I wrote that brings various stuff into vb4 and I have stated the company can use my code if they want in the product but still currently Pro by default integrates with 20 different integrations and that does by nature set it apart from being an actual addon for vbulletin only. Maybe my plugin will be included by default in Pro 8 we shall see. I am all about improving the look and feel as you can see by my changes I have done. I bought the satellite theme from vbstyles to help me understand how we do the vbGallery style matching to help things a little with Pro and my new templates in PP8 I think match a bit better but even the way vbGallery does things style wise has its drawbacks stylewise there are styles they have issues with. Its all about the best look and feel and being that vb4 templating style system allows for broader styles the problem with matching the styles you need to map to specific default vb style classes. In some custom styles those stylevars are not defined that is where you issues.

Consider the vbulletin addon Whats new reloaded (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=252601). This allows you to add other content types to whats new. It would be a really big improvement if new photos and new image comments would show up in Whats New.

So, Chuck... the 2 Gallery tabs, will the 2nd one go away eventually?
Looking like the first is the improved version.
Do you think there will be a way for us to click to see all photo comments we made say for our specified timeframe, or maybe just the last 30 or so or anyone viewing the gallery tab to see comments we made on others photos. I thought I remember seeing that request earlier in this forum post.

This question is for Michael, I noticed in your website that shows what you have been working on, the format changed.

WordPress integration.

I'd love to be able to browse a category for a photo while I am creating a post in WordPress.

Social integration is included in PP8

Wordpress we integrate with the login as our site states. As with any forum or product there search would be there's and our search is ours two separate functions.

We are looking at making a mobile skin but this would not be included in PP8

Great!

We are looking at making a mobile skin but this would not be included in PP8

Is it going to be an addon?

Wordpress we integrate with the login as our site states. As with any forum or product there search would be there's and our search is ours two separate functions.

Take a look at this WP plugin:
WordPress › NextGEN Gallery WordPress Plugins (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/)

It integrates into WP for new posts. When you are writing a post you can click insert image and browse a gallery.

Chuck S
July 25th, 2011, 09:52 AM
It will probally be included in a later release when we have a chance to fully look into mobile skins. I know it is something Michael and I have been discussing we need to do but always the time has to be found.

That is a wordpress image gallery so no doubt it would be highly integrated in wordpress. Our gallery has to work in its own environment and we offer various levels of integration.

To select a link and be able to link gallery images into your wordpress post would no doubt be a nice idea for a hack or mod but I do not think that would be something included in our code by default.

The problem with most flash players is finding one true open source you can add into commercial software like ours. If I can find one I am sure I can add it in easily enough.
Please consider JWPlayer then. Anything better than what's there now would be great! Especially if it can be integrated with social bookmarking like facebook opengraph so that when you like a video the thumbnail and media details show up. For instance: SC4 Casuals 07/16/2011 - Partisan (Cass) VS. Eli123s (Ivy) Part 4 | 8WayRun.Com - SoulCalibur Community (http://8wayrun.com/media/sc4-casuals-07-16-2011-partisan-cass-vs-eli123s-ivy-part-4.2437/)

Everyone wants something different, I'm sure you guys have learned that by now. However, the people still screaming for the 'old' look should be fairly outnumbered.

If anything, consider simplifying it more, and selling or offering add-in modules/bundles.

I would think that could be accomplished in the same way vbulletin uses hooks/products.

A feature to allow the integration of picture ads (embedded), and adsense is a must.
(Earn Money From Your Images - In Image Advertising | Netchunks (http://www.netchunks.com/earn-money-from-your-images-in-image-advertising/)) I forgot what the one that google came up with was--they left it in another name, other than adsense. to show ads to certain member groups, guests--and not have to stick it in the php randomly, only your ad rev number inside the admin menu would be super handy.

Chuck S

Developing a hook system is an idea on the books but you would not see this in PP8.

Definately something one could see in a future version I have had talks about this with Michael. However it would take a long time to create something like that.

Right, I've seen the examples--im more concerned with what changes were made on the backend, and what changes I'll have to make to adjust the site to accept and plumb in the new features to existing code.

We've been modifying pp since the perl days, and adapting as its moved along--the more significant the changes, the longer it takes me to put it into production. Just saying it would be nice to have a head start.

There are two things what is missing now in pp7
Hidden username when users choose for it in the forumoptions end hidden messages for guest.

A long-standing issue I've had is needing a REASON for moderating a photo, either a move or a delete. Our mods have to remove a photo and then separately send a PM to the user explaining why it violated our policy. It would be nice to have a reason field (ideally a reason code and reason text) for why we are moderating a photo right in the move or delete action dialog that would be included in a notification.

Joomla integration. My vB forum site is going to be sitting on a Joomla site soon.

Not sure of the plan, but using the comments to list votes only has always been ugly. We don't really need see who voted for a photo. I would prefer to see a link or something of "who voted" that would maybe popup a simple list if someone really wants that info.

Sounds like the profile thing is changing, but I am also in the camp of not wanting PP profiles at all on a vB forum.

On the vB integration where we have random photos on the forumhome, I would like the ability to have a nice rating option (just the stars) right under the photos (ajax). I would like that capability on all of the photo widget displays. I would like stars for ratings and some simple social share icons (FB, twitter) right below the ratings and that's it.

For vB forums, the FB integration needs to take into account the fact that we're likely already doing FB integration (at least probably most of us) on the forum side.

Chuck S

A couple of things like photopost profile and photo blocks in vb has been added. I beleive the facebook social stuff would check for the facebook cookie when posting at least I know when I test the share thing it knows I am logged in facebook and if not it brings up the facebook login.

Please also address the slideshow. Here's an email I just received about it.

. When I went in to view the pictures of the ribbon work, I got very frustrated. You slide show is not user friendly. It keeps going to the top of the page for each picture and the picture is in the middle of the page and 10 seconds is not enough time to line it up and view it. Yes, I am very well aware of the pause button. What if I don't want to pause for each picture to line it up and view it. It's very frustrating that you have to pause each time to view the large picture. Not to mention if the bottom half of the page is not showing, the majority of people are not going to scroll down to see the whole page. I found the bigger pictures by accident. I guess i tend to be one of those people that won't scroll down. I'm used to clicking on the thumbnail and a bigger picture automatically coming up where I can see it. No sho w up at the bottom of the page. Just thought you should know. Because I'm not coming back unless you fix it.

Chuck S

Take note you setup whether or not to show headers on sideshow or just a sideshow so no scrolling should be needed not showing a site header. The user elects the length of show based in the options given him.

Yes, but with ajax you reload the images without having to take off the headers.

We should be ready to open a beta very very shortly here long overdue.

I have been playing around with some style options since we had to start over with styles in pp8 let me know what you think.

A community photo gallery - My Photo Gallery (http://www.omegatron.net/pp8/index.php)

This one above is the default one everyone has seen from Michael. A bit dark for my tastes so I have done two other styles so far and working on more.

A community photo gallery - Omegatron Gallery (http://www.omegatron.net/photopost8/index.php)

A community photo gallery - My Photo Gallery (http://www.omegatron.net/photos/index.php)

These are two different ones I have been working on.

Of course there is always my main site which uses vb4 if you want to check out vb4 integration. I have outlined earlier that with vb4 we are including alot of my mods which show gallery content into the forum by default now.

Chuck, I would think you could jack some of the vb.css integration and round some edges and get a bit more web2.0ish look (much like your forum).

Anyway to get on a mailing list when the beta opens--I don't check here every day, but I'd like to start testing as soon as its open.

If it's not too late, id like to see you guys add support for memcache/memcached. or an alternative, apc? I've enabled it for vbulletin, and have been testing to make sure it doesnt break photopost--but it would be nice to have it enabled, given the amount of cpu photopost is capable of consuming.

I do not think I follow the one vb4 integrated site I showed very much uses any vb4 style and is more like vbgallery style usage as thats the mapping I used for the new Pro.

I was suggesting using the more web2.0 ish looks from your vb integrated example, as the standard for photopost going forward. the boxy, 2-d still just seems a bit too basic for any modern browsing.

it looks nice, i just think it could be improved.

Chuck S
August 23rd, 2011, 10:09 AM
yeah well the new look does use rounded corners and the likes.

The big difference is the vb4 style your trying to compare to is heavily aided by graphics where as our new style is rounded corners without graphics and the like which is the difference you see. Take away the graphics in the vb style and there would not be much difference.

If you have specific suggestions feel free to let me know. Like maybe something I have thought of more of a shading on the left and bottom to pop out the boxes a little. I literly just started doing some different styles a few days ago just because I know not all customers are going to want to use in a non forum style integration the only theme that was included in pp8 that dark one Michael did for his harleyalley site.

We are just going to be opening a beta shortly so plenty of time for customer input on what style elements they want to see.

What about the exif data? what happened to that option.
I'm logged in over on your Reeftalk site :) and on this link I see no option. Assuming that can be turned on by us as admins for our site like we do now?

Also while logged into RT, there is no photo option pull down menu while viewing a photo.
We use that all the time. Members use it to click to view exif and also to reupload a photo with changes from suggestions made during the week. I also use it to add ribbons each week for the winners, which at least on the page I'm looking there is no room for?
We have POTW, POTM, POTQ, Best of Category, and POTY ribbons as you can see this person has so far this year for his latest POTQ win.

taylorpiano
August 27th, 2011, 08:20 AM
ok, here is more to prove my point of too much real-estate :)

These are all things we need easy access to on the photo options, if all this was listed in your new setup, not via a pull down menu, it would take up too much space

http://www.photopost.com/photopost/data/1/photo-options.jpg

I also noticed that all photo details which include members giving descriptions of their photos, some can really write long ones is now all included on the right hand box.

Having the photo details there will not work out for us because we will not have room for the ribbons on all the members contest photos I have been adding from past 2003 to date. see here

Would it be possible to do something like this (http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-mods-pro/146546-add-new-comment-system-disqus.html), but use vbulletin comments instead? Similar to how vbCMS uses forum posts as CMS comments. An addon like that would be a big step in integration.

Something like:

When Photopost was installed over top of my vBulletin, I kept Pictures and Albums in vB so members could have a direct link between albums and their profiles. This is still very popular with members. Members do use PhotoPost but not nearly as much. If Photopost could add a feature in members profiles that had a direct link back to the vB members profile I'm sure more members would use it. PhotoPost offers so much more. Members never use the profile page in PhotoPost. On my site anyway, they like having access to the profile they created in vBulletin. Would really encourage this for future upgrades.

Chuck S
December 21st, 2011, 12:55 PM
Usually that is counter productive. If your using the gallery you should disable the profile albums thing that way users can only post pictures in the gallery and that would eleviate the confusion if you ask me.

In version 8 profile links go to the forum and there is pro gallery stuff shown there as well.

still having your vb profile albums just makes things confusing.

why did the comshow view change? it used to come up like this

Recent Comments (more...)

in our test area, the (more...) no longer shows up meaning members can only view the last 12 comments on photos and no way to view more in the order they were submitted. Every one of our members use this option to catch up with photo comments they missed since their last logon.

I have more problems with how photo comments are being displayed in pp8rc1, its not useful as far as easily detecting who, what and when the photo was taken. I'll post screen shots to prove my point later

sorry to hear that as this is not something your going to see anytime soon. I do not know any gallery that has it except for stand alone sites like facebook that can write anything they want to run on there own servers.

I can make no promises as this is very early alpha even just been doing some testing.

main1ba2 - My Photo Gallery (http://www.omegatron.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=3&title=main1ba2&cat=500)

There are lots of issues to work through like if you have medium image and you click to view the large it interferes with the tagging.

Tagging is meant for very simplistic coded sites like facebook or when just showing an image without any fancy stuff.

I would need to work out the logistics of how to present things plus

I am really just playing with coding and have no idea at this point how I am going to proceed as it is going to take time to work through everything. ;)

Chuck S
