View Full Version : Can't upload photos

Told you I'd have a question! ;)

New to both vB and PP, though vB has been in place for a few weeks and running great. Installed PP, integrated style with my forum, everything looks wonderful (with a couple of minor exceptions I may start another thread to ask about if they bug me enough ;)). Also installed the PPPro 4.0 mod, which is terrific, thank you!

Now I'm ready to put some photos in and start configuring categories and options. Except I don't have permission to upload. I have the same problem as referenced in this post:

I've done everything suggested - all 3 Edit Integration options under vB3 are on, the option to use integrated style sheets is set to yes, "Users allowed to upload" is set to yes, and my Admin user group permissions at the forum allow everything under the sun - yet I have no permission to upload according to the gallery.

Thanks for your help!

If your usergroups under admin edit usergroups has permission to upload then you will be allowed to upload and see an upload photos link

Please recheck this Administrators should be the 6th listed usergroups down and that must have permission to upload photos.

Thanks for the reply, Chuck. There aren't any permissions under the "Administrator Permissions" for uploading photos, only administering avatars, icons and smilies.

As I mentioned, everything under the Administrators User Group allows for uploading.

What else can it be?

Are you actually in the photopost admin area it does not appear so. Your in vb admin no wonder your confused. You need to be viewing your photopost page on our menubar you will see our admin link. Click it go to our admin panel and under edit usergroups you will most definately see your gallery permissions.

HINT!! You wont see any vb administer stuff if your in the right admin panel

HINT!! Try specifying which admin panel to which you are referring. Admin Permissions is also the sixth option underneath vB Usergroups.

Maybe being a little less patronizing would be nice, too.

Thanks for your help!

No one was being patronizing. After your last post you clearly where in the vb admin panel not photopost which is why I hinted you should not see any vb administration stuff if your in the right panel and is also why I explicitly posted a mock link to our admin panel.
