View Full Version : How do I make EXIF show properly
February 6th, 2010, 06:14 AM
I don't know if this is a bug or something I am doing wrong. Whenever I view EXIF in our gallery, it looks crazy. This is an example: Picture_230 - Mu-43 Gallery (http://www.mu-43.com/gallery/landscape/p599-picture-230.html)
I want it to look normal like this: In full flight. - BytePhoto Galleries (http://www.bytephoto.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=101310&title=in-full-flight-&cat=983)
Thanks for any help.

Are you able to have your webhost install jhead on your server?
Actually you would have NO exif on your site by default because photopost pro only supports exif through the use of jhead. I actually made your program use php's exif for you.
I have no problem clearing out your exif table and making it use jhead in effect making you have no exif.

Thanks for your reply. I've emailed my host support to see if they will install/enable jhead on my server.

Chuck, I got a response from my host:
I have downloaded and compiled this program for you in your home directory. The JHead binary is located in the jhead-2.90 folder of your home directory.
Please advise how to proceed, or if you can do this for me I'd very much appreciate.

It looks great with that example but still shows a weird ratio for aperture and lots of useless info with other images like this one for example: http://www.mu-43.com/gallery/architecture/p226-inside-brighton-pier-dome.html
Is that because it's a different camera?

well its not going to correct exif info extracted on older photos using php's exif function
