View Full Version : Adding amp
May 18th, 2009, 07:11 PM
Whenever a user puts an url that uses an & in bbcode in the description, amp is added after the &. This makes the url incorrect. How can this be fixed?

where is this put as most likely this is something vb is doing if your using vb. I have looked around but dont see any examples
Life-Scrappers Layout Gallery - Main Index (http://life-scrappers.com/gallery/index.php)

We do not use vb.
Here is an example: Life-Scrappers Layout Gallery - Sweet Conversation (http://life-scrappers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=47)
in the description, where it says kit. The link was correct when I entered it, but it was changed to include amp, so now it doesn't go to the correct url.

well I dont see where we change this into that but anyway you can try editing showphoto.php and find this code
if ( VB3_ENHANCEDINT == "on" )
$desc = un_htmlspecialchars(convert_markups($desc));
$desc = convert_returns(convert_markups($desc));
change it to this
$desc = un_htmlspecialchars(convert_returns(convert_markups($desc)));

Ummm well it removed the amp (thank you!) but it also strips all hmtl, so that the text all runs together, when before it was separated like paragraphs. ?

Try reapplying the edit.
