Chuck, I have a client that installed PP i designed a theme for..

We are having problems with getting the avatars to show up for cats and comments. There are filename showing, and the links are good - but no small thumbs showing. Thumbs throughout the site are showing fine..

Avatars are enabled, and I did a rescan via admin, but still nothing shows, just a link to the image - no thumb.

Any suggestion on what this could be as I searched the forum with nothing of the same found..

No sorry no thoughts other than does this issue only exist when your custom files are used?

If the default photopost work fine? If so then the issue would be in your work. Any customer is always free to ask for support with the default code and post about there issue.

If there is a url posted I could tell you if its something we can answer or not.

The avatars still work on my demo site and I didn't change any pp files plus it also shows the same with the default template.

beachclick.com is the site..

I just tried to upload. Getting error:

all his thumbs disappeared now - images will show - if you can get to them..

I am unsure of what he did at this time..

I just reverted back to default theme and it is the theme I made him. He must of made a change somewhere and now it isn't working..

reuploaded the base theme and they show again except for cat avatars..

Under the mini settings in upload options set the thresholds to 0

that didn't work either..

You are talking about these setting, right?
If rotating, long side for mini thumbnail?

Yes if those are not 0 then things look for a mini thumbnail.

They are set to 50 and 27 respectively - default settings..

No avatars

Default template is set right now..

What file controls the avatar listings?

Chuck S

Not sure what your trying to say here. Your not showing cat avatars.

My response is based on what I saw when you did have them shown. avatars are done in the pp-inc.php file

I can try reuploading pp-inc.php to see if that changes. By base file is a bit smaller than the one upload

Those options can not be 0 based on what I see. You just told me they where 50 and 27 now you say they are 0? I would suspect they are not 0 because thats what your code is telling me

if ( $Globals['rotatel'] > 0 || $Globals['rotatep'] > 0 )
{
$catavatar = str_replace("/thumbs/", "/mini/", $catavatar);
}

They are set to '0' in admin panel -

I apoloize 50 and 27 are the settings for the Min allowable image width in pixels and Min allowable image height in pixels

the settings yo mentioned above need to be 50 and 27?

Do I need to rerun a thumbnail scan with the 50 and 27 setting in those fields you mentioned?

Chuck S

The rotate ones need to be 0

skidpics

The rotate ones need to be 0

I am getting confused:

f rotating, long side for mini thumbnail?
If rotating your thumbnails, we need to create a mini thumbnail to ZERO

If rotating, short side for mini thumbnail?
If rotating your thumbnails, we need to create a mini thumbnail to ZERO

Correct? if so, that is what they are..

GOT IT!

Degrees to rotate portrait thumbnail has to be set to ZEROS

then Mini part has to be listed as 50 and 70!

The ones that control the mini stuff are the rotate ones ;)
