View Full Version : photopost pro 6.2 can't upload
October 15th, 2008, 09:01 PM
So, I have photopost installed and running. When I click to 'upload photos' I get all the text, everything except the 'choose file' button. Everything appears to be there, but I simply have no option to pick the file I want to upload.
Everything else seems to work, thumbnails, adding users, etc. So I'm stumped.

Is there a test login to use and see if we see an issue?

I tried to log in as the 'chuck' user and change the password, but I got

Well, I'm still poking. I got one problem solved, but now another
So, I had a version of the 6.1 database and I was running 6.2 and had never run the 'update' script. I think the 'vhosts' was a red herring. But I managed to get into the mysql tables and thanks to google I changed the value. It was listed as id 208 and so it never showed up in the photopost admin page.
After running the 'update' script to take it from 6.1 to 6.2 I was then able to see the 'Admin' profile, and the magically the 'upload' appeared. Now I can upload.
How-ever when I upload I get 'file name not supported' and I see this in the log files

If you notice, its not putting a '/' after data, instead its appending the directory number. so what should be
/var/www/html/photopost/data/530 is coming out as
Is there a fix for this? Thanks

I would suggest in both Global Options and Storage Options in admin you make sure that your data path is correct as it would appear it is incorrect meaning your missing the trailing slash.

I confirmed both spots have the trailing slash. It appears it was missing it in the storage options.
Now, I get this error, and a blank screen after I attempt to upload a photo.

I can give you access to the Admin page if that will make this easier.
Please private message me.

Your server does not appear to have GD2 installed thats the error.
Did your host upgrade your site and not install GD2? You need to use either GD2 or Imagemagick with our products so the server has to have one to work.

Yep, installed php-gd and not the photos appear to be working!
