View Full Version : Strange problem with file ownership
March 7th, 2008, 03:41 PM
Photos upload perfectly in FTP and can view them fine, but in the gallery or a photo link, they dont load.
the path is correct, and its uploading the files correctly to the right folder - it looks like the problem is that the gallery is uploading the file as ownership "apache", rather than being owned by "skyline"
is there anyway to change this so when the file saves, it saves as the right owner?

please post a link to your site and explain what you mean by they dont show? Files owned by apache should not be an issue thats a common thing on alot of servers where the server processes things.

The large images arent showing up, Spoke to the host and he says that the path is correct to the forum but the large images arent connecting properly

I also noticied in the "files" folder, the thumbnails are showing up at "644" and images as "777"
not sure if this has any influence on things but I cant change the thumbnails chmod to "777" - smart ftp says "Operation not permitted"

Does the large image exist? here is the thumb
Now the large image does not appear to be here
Also is there any particular reason why your using the safe mode switch? If safe mode is off on your server you should turn this off.
