View Full Version : Issues with I.E.

Sorry, as I was not at all sure where to post this question/issue.
I have PhotoPost Pro on my forum site which has vBulletin 3.6.8 and also vBadvanced. I recently became aware of an issue that I did not even know about until three days ago. On the top of my forum page are four random images from the Gallery section (PhotoPost). I use Firefox and have not used I.E. for years as I have a very strong dislike for it and now it seems even more rightfully so!

The other day for some odd reason I decided to access my site using I.E. and much to my surprise the four images at the top were blank white squares with NO image! I then made inquires as to others on the site who use I.E and asked them what they saw. I received the same reply as to just seeing blank white squares with no picture. They said that if they clicked on them it would indeed bring them to the appropriate image in the Gallery section and they simply assumed that this was the way it was supposed to look! NOT!

To all the others who use Firefox as I do or even Netscape everything is fine and viewable as it should be. What is the problem here and is there any way I can fix it? Why on earth are these images not viewable to I.E. users?

Regards, shohin

Can you please post a link to your site so we can respond to as what we think your issue might be.

Honestly I can not say. You have some sort of htaccess file or some server thing setup that might be causing this? Basically if I view the source of your page I see this which is correct.

<td style="background: url(http://www.bonsaichat.net/gallery/data/500/thumbs/43600702.JPG); background-color: #000000; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center;"><a href="http://www.bonsaichat.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=17"><img src="http://www.bonsaichat.net/gallery/images/overlay-roundp.gif" height="105" width="81" border="0" alt="" /></a></td>

That html code is 100% working and flawless so something is blocking the image from being displayed in ie. My first thought of course is some htaccess file your using on the site
