View Full Version : Marked SOLD, but still can't post more ads.

when a user marks an ad as sold, shouldn't it automatically expire? I have it set so users can have max 7 ads running, however they aren't able to upload more ads even if they mark all 7 of their ads as sold.
How would I fix this? Thanks.

No it does not unless your running your expiration script sendnotice.php to expire and remove ads. Otherwise no when you set a max ad limit the sold ad is still as ad. It says max ads not max unsold ads.

Ok, I have sendnotice.php running through cron every 15 minutes.
Basically it just sets all expired ads and sold ads to the EXPIRED QUEUE... the ads are still visible in the classifieds though until I delete them through the admin.
DO I have to manually delete all these ads through the admin or is there an automatic way to do it?
I'm running, 2.61 i believe it auto-deletes after 2 weeks but i want it done right away.

It auto deletes after 2 weeks correct so if your looking for anything else you need to modify your code. I suggest looking at adm-misc.php at the top you will see the code that removes files enjoy.

So I just edit the 1209600 in this line?
$checkdate = time() - 1209600;
