PP 562 & Vb 368: member gallery after integration not correctly
I just integrated a fresh vb 3.68 forum with an old PP 5.62 gallery.
I imported all users of the gallery into the empty vb forum. After that I integrated everything and everything semmed to work fine.
Now the first users start uploading again images into the gallery.
All users, who uploaded images into the gallery after the integration of today, do not show up their proper member gallery anymore. The old photos are still in the category "member gallery", but not the new ones of today, although they do appear on the index page on recent photos and also in the correct category.
And if I click within the userprofile on the link to see all the images of that user, only the new ones of today appear, not the hundreds old images of that user (but which exist still for sure)
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Integration was only the user integration, no layout/forum style integration if that is of any importance.
I did some "scan database" options. Now the same user appears twice in member galleries with the SAME username. In one the 2 new images are in, in the other one all the old ones.
If I click within teh profile of the old images on "edit profile", the message apperas: User not found!
What is going on there?

I jsz checked the database: the suerid in the vbulletin db is 2602, the userid in the PP db is 29
Could that be a reason for this?
In both db, the username appears only once.
This problem happens now with every user who is uploading new images...

No doubt an issue with the impex importer. Try running this script and see if it helps

I will try and report back in a few minutes...

o.k., I did ran the script and it seems to work.
As far as I can see, the new images are now part of the member galleries with the old images. This would be a relief...
I have now to wait until teh next suer is uploading again an inage to see whetehr it works also with images uoploaded after applying the script
What I see is thst the old way of showing the user profile in PP is now empty. Is this normal?
There is a link within the PP profile to get to the vbulletin profile. This works corrytly. I was just surprised that the old information typed into PP is now gone... or shoudl it still show off there?
Thanbks for teh fix, I will report tomorrow as soon as I can see more. I have to go to bed finally, my eyes are burning...

yes it is you are no longer integrated with Photopost but vbulletin user database
The script is used to assist in realigning userid's since you used vb's impex importer you should be fine after running that script.

some other problems appeared today.
1. The users can not see their albums anymore. It is like they would have never had albums. But they can create new ones without problems. In ACP I can see many albums.
2. One user reported, that he has a different username then the one I sent him with his e-mail address. Let's say I sent him the username "smith" but he claims that he changed that a long time ago to "smithnew" in PP.
I checked and it is true that there is a username "smithnew" in the gallery, but not in vbulletin. But if I click on the username in the gallery, (in the PP profile), it is shown as "admin". So it seems that this account and all images of this account were changed to my account as an admin.
If I check old comments in PP, all comments he made with the username ""smithnew" are now labeled "anonymous".
3. Some user upload only one image, but on the indexpage in recent photos, it appears 2-4 times. If I try to delete one, all duplicates get deleted at the same time.
And this happens with a usergroup who is only allowed to have 1 image per 24 hours.
What can I do with all 3 problems?

This is how I see it. You might need a backup of an old database to see who the users are but you might need to view your categories table in mysql viewer and change the owner of the album to the new userid. Your second issue might have to do with have you truly imported all users to vbulletin? Maybe thats something to do with the vb impex script. I do have a little script in the import forum to import vb users into vb.
Here let me link how to switch integration. Now most any issue you have is not a bug in the software. The photopost product is never designed to plugin and play mid stream somewhere. You are suppose to choose an integration type and stick that way. This might help you on the exact steps to ensure you did not forget anything cause remember you also need to delete your photopost usergrpoups and import vb3 usergroups for permissions to work right. If everything is done correctly things should be okay. Let me know if that helps below.

mmhhh, before I start all over again, I will try whether I can fix some issues manually one by one (I am pretty sure, that I followed the steps in your guide correctly).
Regarding the user with the missing username: I do think that he had multiple accounts with the same e-mail address and teh import script just piked one name over the other for the same address. I will try to solve first the other issues.
Regarding #3: (duplicate images):
It seems tht the suers that had duplicate images at once experienced an error
during the upload process. Not in the first upload screen, but in the second. This message appeared:
We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.
Query: SELECT SUM(filesize) AS fsize FROM xyz_photos WHERE userid= AND storecat=0
Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND storecat=0' at line 1
Database handle: Resource id #6
So they seem sto think, that upload did not work although it shows up in the gallery and so they try it againa and again. that is why there are duplicates.
But not all users have this problem.
A. Any idea what this error message could mean?/ What is causing it
Regarding #1 (The users can not see their albums anymore)
I will come back to that later on...
When I look in "members galleries" there are normally always the last image uploaded visible next to each username. Now I found out, that with users who have not uploaded after the integration yet, this last image is not correct. It is actuially an image of another user.
BUT when I click on that image to get into the gallery of that member, it shows all images properly and the wrong image is NOT part of them.
It seems that is the case with all users, who do not have reactivated their new password yet, if that is some help for you.
B. I guess I have to scan db for correcting this in ACP? Or will that destroy anything?
Also not all membergalleries are showing up when clicking on the alphabet within the member gallery section. I do not know what the reason for this is, since it is not only with non-reactivated users.
If I use the search tool by username, I can get via an image to every member gallery I want to and see all images correctly. Strange.
C. Is there any kind of "filter" that makes a selection of usergalleries to display in that section that could hide certain membergalleries there?
Thanks in advance

Dirk there are lots of issues with running the vb impex system on Photopost users and there is only so much we can do here. I linked you to a script we have to try and assist you in correcting alot of vb's impex issues but as you have seen like with your multiple user accounts for one user we can not support or correct all issues with vb's impex script alot of this you might have to correct by hand. This is why integrations are not suppose to be changed so there might be some some work you need to do by hand. There is a script I wrote also if you choose to start over to import photopost users into vb with the right userid etc.
I will check out the upload issue but no one has reported this so what version of the software do you have? Is it unmodified?

so you would recommemnd to take an old backup and try it again, but this time not with the impex, but the one you proveded in the link (the zip file)?
If yes, I would try it tonight although last night I had already only 3.5 hours of sleep :(
I used before the vb integration PP 5.62, RP 3.3, CL 2.6 (all 3 integrated with each other, master db was PP)
And vb 3.68 is a fresh & clean install (actually an upgrade from an empty 3.67PL version, which I used in May for import-tests)
So what would you recommend:
a) Staying with this integration and hunting for fixes,
b) new import with impex or
c) new import with your zip file

You can always do a new vb install sure and redo things. I am saying that it is impossible for us to deal with and fix all kinds of issues when dealing with someone else's scripts. Your seeing this now trying to convert to vb now. I have tried to post stuff to help people switch integration even though it is not something the software is designed to do in the most part. Using the script I linked which will imports users into vb with the right userids is the way to go to avoid issues but requires you to have a clean installed vb forum.

Yes, I do understand. No problem, I did not expect this :)

I see. This is why I test this now with a fresh vb installation under a test domain - see also my other posting in the other thread:
I am sure, that there will be still afterwards minor problems, but if the basis is already reliable, it is easier to fix the little things afterwards :)

Yes I made some responses in your other post since it deals your trying to deal with some type of custom groups issue. Lets keep the discussion in one thread.
