Apparently, the files and info are all there on the site, but the index has been taken over or something.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I believe I fixed the problem by replacing the index file with a backup, but should someone look at the logs and see what was exposed to allow for this? I am not sure how to do that. Someone from my site said this about the hack:
Sanalkurt is a rather prolific web site defacer, but really just a php script kiddie. Check the access logs to find what he exploited to do that.

It was a big graphic, saying I was hacked by a turking hacker, like a new homepage.
I need to know why it was hacked and where the vulnerability lies from this software ... I understand that sometimes hacking an integrated software can lead them to hacking the forum software it's integrated to.

Yes any hack you have installed would be where I would be looking at to exploits. I dont know of any exploits a non hacked software that would cause any issues

It seems to be a server issue effecting many people on their homepage too. The hosts are working on pinpointing it. Apparently, many software types and sites are getting hit. Thanks Chuck.
