View Full Version : fix or upgrade?
April 25th, 2007, 09:14 AM
My photopost classifieds has brought up some errors when building thumbs etc. It has been suggested that I reinstal it. Is there any reason that I shouldn't upgrade to 261 at this time, or should I fix the 26 that I am running?
This is the suggestion of my host after this thread:
I am currently getting the following error when I log into the admin:
Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: Stat failed for /home/teambuic/public_html/classifieds/data//3/thumbs_/000_0097.JPG (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /home/teambuic/public_html/classifieds/adm-inc.php on line 949

I would simply suggest you go to global options and fix your data path removing that extra trailing slash off your path

I seem to remember haveing a problem with this before.
I just tried to remove it in the Globals, but it won't save. This must mean something doesn't have the right permissions. Where should I look?

You would make sure the global options is correct with only one trailing slash and then go to storage options and hit revert and save twice

Before reading your post, I have gone into my phpadmin and changed the backslash. I expect this means there is a permissions problem somewhere, however it has not solved the error:
Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: Stat failed for /home/teambuic/public_html/classifieds/data/3/thumbs_/HPIM0357.JPG (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /home/teambuic/public_html/classifieds/adm-inc.php on line 949

I am not finding "storage options", where should I find it?

Why is there a _ on your thumbs directory? Are there any modifications to your code cause I do not see how your path could be like that.
That should be the right path but everything seems centered around this 3 data directory so make sure it is 777 and the thumbs and large directories exist underneath and are also 777

I am haveing problems with making changes stick in the globals. I change the /home/teambuic/public_html/classifieds/data/, but it will not save.
If I change it in the phpadmin, it seems to save for a while. I think there must be a permissions problem with something, (check with my host).
While it has this setting in the globals,
I am able to get these errors:

With the appropriate backslash.
I have been placeing the missing 7.JPG in the directories, but they keep disappearing! Could that be because there is also a 7.jpg in the same directory?

If the file is missing how can one build a thumbnail from it? This is very confusing how your saying this
Now all I see are permissions errors. You are saying those directories at every level thumbs etc are 777?
Something is definately not sticking that is for sure. You can email us login and ftp info url etc if you want us to take a look

The code was not modified. When I renamed the directory from thumbs to thumbs_ to preserve it, and then made a new directory thumbs, it seems to have stayed attached to the original despite the renameing. I have put it all back now and most problems have sorted themselves out.
There is still a trailing slash in the globals that can't be removed for some reason but things appear to be working except for this error"

which happens in the "Check and rebuild all preview images." I don't know that it matters. The directory has two images 7.jpg and 7.JPG. At one point I took out the 7.JPG in an effort to make things happy, but it has not accepted the image back.

More than likely an issue with that one file for whatever reason. Every error you have is centered around that one image
Your data path should have a trailing slash. It should not have two trailing slashes which is what you had before ;)
