View Full Version : upload timeout

I'm still testing out my photopost installation. I can upload images and small videos without a problem, but when I try to post a 8 MB video, the little spinning gray upload graphic does its thing for a few minutes, then I get a "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" page.
at the top of pp-inc.php like Chuck suggested in other timeout-related threads, but it does nothing. Any other ideas?

Maybe 40m is not enough for your 8mb video.

I tried changing it to 100, but it still doesn't work. Is this unusual?

You can link a phpinfo for your server here but it can be very normal depending on your PHP setup since by default in PHP you can not upload a file over 2mb and there are memory issues and timeouts to counter with huge file uploads so all depends I need to see your PHP setup and whether I can tell you anything that can help depends on your ability to alter php server settings.

Your PHP is not setup with a memory_limit variable therefore there is nothing for the script to override. You need to alter your PHP.ini file directly and add the memory_limit and restart PHP

In you php.ini search for this section and changed the parametrers shown below.
; Resource Limits ;
max_execution_time = 30000
max_input_time = 300
memory_limit = 800M
