View Full Version : No errors, just blank

Looks like the install went OK. I chose VB3 integration (I have 3.5.4). I can get into the adm-index and everything looks right. I double-checked the paths in my config files.
When I try to load photopost index in the browser, I get a blank page. No error messages.

If your index is not loading do you see any errors? I suggest you check your config-int.php file and make sure in the $vbpath variable the path to your vbulletin forum is correct

Thanks for the reply. No errors, no nothing. Just a blank page. All the strings are correct in both config files.
Here is the html that is generated by index.php:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
Nothing. I know there must be something very basic that I have set wrong.

Are your templates on the server? Is it just your index? url to install

All the files are on the server, except install.php which I deleted after installation was complete. I can see all the settings in adm-index, though.

if you would like help please post a url to your install thanks
also try turning off the vb3 define boxes in config-int.php and see what happens.

Oh - I see. I thought you meant the .php. The URL is <URL Removed>
Edit: turning off the vb3 defines results in what you see now.

I never saw any other response to this post, so I figured I would post a followup in case someone else has this problem. A friend who has successfully installed photopost just helped me figure it out.
The issue I was having was that photopost installed correctly, with a generic black text/white background, and I could tell it was accessing the database correctly since it showed the proper login name and number of members, etc. When VB3 integration was switched on in config-int.php, then photopost would not load at all. Somehow in the process of the installation script, the forum path was specified as:
...when it should have been just
Making that change (in the integration control panel) fixed the problem. Now the gallery has the same look & layout as the rest of the forums. It's not just me - another friend who was independantly installing photopost just yesterday had the exact same error.

On an install we can make path suggestions but it is always up to the user to verify. The error is only going to happen if on install you do not verify the path.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to bump it to remind people to make sure they are checking there paths!!!
