View Full Version : Login problems with firefox
July 3rd, 2006, 12:24 AM
I have a user who can login with IE no probs but when loading the gallery with firefox she can't even see login as an option in the menu.
The gallery is integrated with our phpbb but even when she logs in via the forums then browses to the gallery she isn't logged in? It seems work fine for everyone else except this one user (mind you we are not live yet so only have a few test users).
any ideas greatly appreciated.

Do you have a url so I can see as I have never seen something like this?

the only problem is... it works fine for me and everyone else, regardless of whether they use firefox or IE... it is just this one user.
We had a big go at testing things yesterday and it seems if she is logged into the forum and goes to the gallery she is not longer logged in and can't see the log in link. If she isn't logged in to the forum and goes to the gallery she can log in via the menu link and all appears to be successful but it redirects her back to the home page and she is infact not logged in at all...?
I am guessing it is a cookie issue? Perhaps specific to this user? Have tried getting her to clear her cookies but that hasn't helped.

Ask here if she is using cookies in her browser since they are set locally. I don't see anything in the code that would prevent it from displaying
Yeah your site appears fine and I see login in 3 different types of browsers.

im having the same problem with a few users on one of my sites (integrated with vb). works fine for me and many others in every browser. ive told the people to do the clear cache/cookies/close browser thing several times and they still say they are having problems.

She is using cookies but I am going to go through it with her and see if perhaps she has an odd setting or something... Nice to know it is her and not us!
thanks so much for your help...
