View Full Version : Installation error with IIS

I have set up a local dev server runing IIS. I installed MySQL, PHP, and ImageMagick with out any issues. When I try to run the photopost setup up everything is fine untill the last step when it tries to build the database. This is the error I get>
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\webserver\photos\install.php
on line 552
Could I get some input on why this would happen?

Ok found a fix. I had to run this commend in mysql to convert the new password to the old mysql password system.
SET PASSWORD FOR 'some_user'@'some_host' = OLD_PASSWORD('newpwd');
then i had to flush the tables.
Also should mention this is with mysql version 5. on and IIS server.

mysql 5 is not compatible with our products yet that I see. INSERT QUERIES FAIL ETC. There are several new format routines in mysql 5 for inserts

Cool yeah I got it working just fine. MYSQL ver.5 screwed everything up with the new encryption process they added for the passwords.
