Hi!

We are planing to launch (or more exactly relaunch dropping buggy phpNuke) our news site.

We have ppl writing artlickes and news that will be published on front page.

Now the question.

Is there any good hack so that when a news write wants to add and article he/she can:

1. Make a new gallery and upload some large pictures there.
2. Make a new post in the article forum.
3. Link in some thumbnails from above gallery that links to the large images.

Not following:

- We would like to have one gallery for each article in a special gallery category protected from write by other users

- We must be able to use custom BB code for the image insertion as we need "Image aligned left" and "image aligned right" not just "Insert image".

Any idea anyone?
Any feeback is good feedback :)

/F

The things with the gallery and uploading, protecting, etc won't be a problem. For the image in the news article, are you saying you want to be able to put the thumbnail in the article with a link back to the original image? I know there is a simple hack posted that would allow this, and with just a small modification and a new bbcode added then it shouldn't be hard at all to have a quick link/thumbnail code generated.

Zounds,

Check this out from The Nail Geek: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73040

I don't *think* he has an image alignment option in there yet but that hack is the best place to start instead of re-inventing the wheel.

I tried it but It rellay didn't work well.

Almost all functionality was remvoed if browser is Mozilla the popaup windows doesn't resize properly. And the javascript is really hard to understand.

But If the Mozillapart worked I could live with the rest.

vBa Gallery can be purchased from the Products / Scripts page: http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.php

The hack that I mentioned can be downloaded from vb.org.

Vaderman,

Installs are typicall done within 24 hours of the timestamp of the request. I just took a look at your ticket and the user names & passwords all check out; if the install is still open tonight when I get home I'll take care of it.
