View Full Version : Image names with caps get stripped to lower before upload
January 2nd, 2005, 10:26 PM
I got about 200 file with names like "Animaniacs_-_Beanie.gif"
In bulk upload from server, both the name and file name get renamed to all lowercase "animaniacs_-_beanie" before the final step, so the image doesn't even get processed. And it doesn't show up in the preview box for entering the info. :(

Sorry, I must have missed this post last night. Would you mind submitting a support ticket via the Members' Area here so I can have a look? I assume you've already uploaded the images to your users folder as well. Please leave those there so I will see the exact images you are having a problem with.

No need for a ticket Brian. I just imported them from my photopost setup.
Strange this is, they retained the Caps in the names. even in the import.
After looking thru the bugs forums, I saw a fix for "Illegal characters in file names" by Reynaldo.
I applied it, then commented out this line - $filename = strtolower($filename);
BINGO !!!!! Images with Caps in their names upload no problem.
So, it must be something to do with that.
