View Full Version : Switch off 'User CP - FAQ...' menu strip?
November 7th, 2005, 06:23 PM
I've upgraded to vBulletin 3.5.1 and Photopost 5.2.1 and ReviewPost 3.11. Is it possible to switch off the 'User CP - FAQ - Members List - Calendar - New Posts - Search - Quick Links - Log Out' menu strip that vBulletin generates so that it only appears when it's in the forums?

Is anyone able to offer any assistance?

You could remove the $navbar line in header-inc.php from the $vbheader variables.

I'd really appreciate it if you would please be a bit more specific about which $navbar line I should be removing - I've tried removing all of them (and combinations of them) but the menu bar still appears.

Hello if your remove $navbar in all places in header-inc.php it surely does not appear in Photopost.
removing this line in header-inc.php gets rid of the navbar for sure ;)
eval('$navbar = "' . fetch_template('navbar') . '";');
works the same was as removing all $navbar references in that file

Removing all instances of '$navbar' and 'eval('$navbar = "' . fetch_template('navbar') . '";');' removes the entire block as well as my side blocks.
If you look at /http://scene-OUT.com/gallery you will see vBulletins menu strip block (or what ever it's called) - the top bit says 'scene-OUT.com' (the name of my site) and the vBulletin login box to the right of that. Then underneath that is the 'User CP - FAQ - Members List - Calendar - New Posts - Search - Quick Links - Log Out' menu strip that vBulletin generates. That's the bit that I only want to appear when it's in the forums - it shouldn't appear when I'm in PhotoPost.

You would need to make a new navbar template called navbar2 in vbulletin that has the block but without the links and then change the eval line to fetch navbar 2
eval('$navbar = "' . fetch_template('navbar2') . '";');
