Url to your site?
What variables does this cookie create any other cookies?
I have moved this to install forum since this would not be a classifieds bug

cookie comes from here:

it seems to be only the "name" cookie - pp-c tells me in every category "no ads in this category" - if i remove the cookie everything is ok again

Well you must rename your cookie name
so your issue is on showcat.php and the reason being is the page thinks your doing a search cause name is a search variable

Well your issue is on showcat.php and the reason is because name is a variable used on the search engine and the script thinks your doing a search
Basically you need to rename that front login cookie to something like uname or samething unused in classifieds or vbulletin

pp receives this information normally by get / post but not by cookies - can i tell pp to ignore name in cookies?

Well our program is coded for certain variables and works as it should.
You might not be able to search for ads by username but this might work in showcat.php
if ( !isset($page) ) $page = 1;
if ( !isset($what) || empty($what) ) $what = "allfields";
if ($_COOKIE[name]) $name = "";
