PhotoPost is pleased to announce the release of PhotoPost PRO 5.2! This new release contains improved vB3 3.5 integration, a new "calendar pal" and new caching technology that greatly improves the index page loading time.

vBulletin 3.5 Integration. We have done extensive testing with the vB3.5 RC3 release and made some changes to improve our integration with not only vB3.0x, but with the new 3.5 release. With PhotoPost the vB 3.x integration is completely automatic - you can upgrade your vB3.0x board at any time to vB3.5 and PhotoPost will pick up the change and adjust automatically! That's right - there is no need to "upgrade" PhotoPost when you go from one version to the next; it does all the work for you.

Calendar Pal. Check out the same sites below and you'll see a new "calendar pal" which displays the current month and for any given date will provide a link to show all images uploaded on that date. You can hover over the date and see how many images were uploaded on that day as well. This option can be enabled/disabled in the Sidebar Options section of the Admin Options.

Caching. To improve overall performance, we've added caching technology to PhotoPost. With caching enabled (the time of the cache can be set in the Global Options area - the default is 10 minutes) page load time can be greatly reduced as common queries are cached versus being calculated on every page load.

For the TechIMO site, typical index page load times went from around .67 seconds with 14 queries to .06 seconds with just 9 queries. Times on larger sites will be much more dramatic than smaller sites.

You can see examples of the new PhotoPost 5.2 release running on these sites:
