View Full Version : More problems with allowing unregistered to upload
August 31st, 2005, 11:51 AM
1. On all places where it shows that the uploaded user is "Unregistered" when you click on the name it loads up a page that says "Script not called correctly." Is it possible to create a specific error page, maybe something like "There is no profile available for unregistered"
2. In the members galleries there is a "Unregistered" gallery that shows up, but when you click the title nothing happens. Where it says "(see this users gallery)" when you click that from an image uploaded from an unregistered user it loads up the member gallery index page.
Can these problems be fixed? If nothing else, could it be made so that these two links were shown as text and not links. That way it prevents them from being clicked?
EDIT: Also, how do I remove the user "Unregistered" from appearing in the top poster box? Since it is all unregistered users I don't want it showing in the top poster box at all. Could you please let me know how to remove it?

well you could alter your member.php script to add a new language string and change the string above.
$Globals['pp_lang']['notmember'] = "Unregistered User's do not have a profile.";
see new change below!!
This is correct you can't show a gallery for a user that has no userid.

REMOVED CODE NOT TO CONFUSE ANYONE
and added the line to my langauge file, but I get the same "Script not called correctly." error page.
EDIT: Also, I noticed that if you are logged into photopost and you click on unregistered it shows you your profile. Maybe this problem will be fixed once I get the above code working though.
EDIT2: Also I fixed the mistype of nont to not and it still doesn't work. :\

That seems to be working when trying to view the profile now.
So is there anyway to get it so that in the members galleries the title of the "Unregistered" isn't a link? I don't mind it showing and I could even live with it being a link in other parts of the software, but if there is anything that would make it possible to make it so that the title of their member stat box on the members gallery page that would be great.
Thanks for the help thus far. :)

Update again, I added this code to 5.2 and I thought it was working, which it does do what I wanted for the unregistered users, but when I now click a registered users link to their profile it gives the error:
Script not called correctly.
Can you help me fix this now? :\

You can't try reapplying real old code from months old different versions into the new code version
You must use members.php from the download and then please start a new thread if this issue is present
