August 18th, 2005, 02:55 PM
I have enabled multimedia and added .swf to the allowed upload list. However, when i try to upload a .swf file it says, added successfully! but nothing shows up in the gallery.
Other multimedia work like video and pictures, but not swf. help

Do you guys have a support email?

support is here or email@example.com
You would need to place 2048 as the maximum allowed multimedia file in upload options and max filesize in usergroup options
Basically your php has max filesize set to 2M which is the default and since it is over that the upload is being dropped. Not much we can do since the error is PHP related.
If you set the limits then our software can know its over and report the upload is too big and user can go from there
Your other option if you have access is to edit the php.ini file and increase your max upload filesize

Not a problem
Tons of people get nabbed by php restrictions ;)
You can either as stated up the restrictions or restrict the larger uploads. Usually with multimedia uploads people ask there hosts if they can make the restriction higher if you dont have the ability to increase it yourself

I contacted my host and told them to raise the limit to 15mb, let me try if this solves the problem.

Hm, ok i tried uploading a smaller file and it worked. So i guess my limits still havnt been raised by the host since the 5mb fille still isnt working.
