View Full Version : I messed up something Major Errors
April 25th, 2005, 04:37 PM
I have a dedicated server and I have VB3 and VPortal running fine now I tried installing this thing a few times and I keep getting sql errors
Warning: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in /usr/home/witchy/html/www.mydomainname.com/photopost/header-inc.php on line 61
VB and VP are in the same db I set PP to go into that db I set both fileds to that db. I can login to my Control panel and see the tables are created. I tried a few times and have to keep changing the prefix for PP because if i dont I just keep getting sql errors saying dublicate tables
Im using GD2 I checked the php.info and it said thats what I have and safe mode is off. VB has no prefix so I left that field blank

I tried giving PP its own db I reinstalled it and it said installation was successful and sent me to a login page After I logged it I got thisWarning: main(mainfile.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/home/witchy/html/www.mydomain.com/photopost/header-inc.php on line 238
When it ask me about intergration Should I swicth the VB options to on and the Vportal option to on But it asks me for the path to the Vportal directory and it says Vportal 2 but I have Vp3 Im confused :(

VBportal2 is for VB2
You need to edit the config-int.php file and turn those off.
Then in the top of that file verify the paths to the vb3 forum and turn on the vb3 integration options.

Ok I deleted everything from My server and re downloaded the zip file and I am going to try it from scratch I also dropped all the tables from the pp db so I can do it from scratch.
Im sure I will be back :(

I did it I got it to install it was something stupid instead of the path being forums it was forum :( Now how come it wont let me enter as an admin, it says I dont have permission to upload photos and when I do try to login to admin it just brings me back to the PP page itself?
April 25th, 2005, 06:59 PM
go to usergroup permissions in admin and set the usergroup permissions.
If you can not get into admin you forgot to set your cookie prefix on install which is usually bb
April 25th, 2005, 07:32 PM
Can I fix that?
April 25th, 2005, 07:33 PM
It knows me though I lets me login to photo post just not the admin
April 25th, 2005, 09:24 PM
DONE I got it to work, The gallery is cool but how do I go about useing it with VPortal? Make it show pics on the main page and such.
April 25th, 2005, 10:23 PM
ought oh I just read a bunch of post and it dosnt look that easy :(
April 26th, 2005, 07:41 AM
Well VBportal sidebar by default will show on Photopost pages when using Vb3 integration. As far as including a photo block on VBportal main page that would be a hack since we dont specifically support altering other software's files. However I will point you to a simple post I made over at VBportal to put a block on your main page like I did to my site

Thanks omegatrom I got all that stuff to work. Not easy for me considering I am a pipe fitter by trade ;)
One more question please, I thought everything was fine until I had someone say that they registered to my VB board but when trying to post they were getting sql errors. I didnt see any when I was posting so I logged out and tried registering a different user name and then I saw a sql error but I refreshed the page and everything worked. Then I got this email from my VB board
Database error in vBulletin 3.0.7:
ORDER BY mailqueueid DESC
mysql error: Table 'photodb.mailqueue' doesn't exist
mysql error number: 1146
photodb is photopost db not Vb's datatbase. I checked in my control panal and there is no table mailqueue like the email said. but there is one in the VB db. Did I mess something up on install? How can I fix this?
April 26th, 2005, 12:42 PM
Tried to post where? We dont alter anything on Vb so that error makes no sense.
You using the inc_features.php on the vb index?
April 26th, 2005, 12:52 PM
tried to post on the VB forum I have a block with thumbs showing on the Vportal index page. would that do it?
April 26th, 2005, 12:52 PM
But everything seems to work except for that error
this the url:
April 26th, 2005, 01:01 PM
Well the email is from VB not Photopost and not even from a photopost page your saying.
make sure if they are in separate databases which ever hacks your using you select the databases properly
I would say you have messed something up on the portal as you dont have a footer.
April 26th, 2005, 01:02 PM
And I get this error on the browser when a person who registered but hasnt confirmed their email yet tries to post
Warning: halt(./includes/functions_log_error.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in usrhomewitchyhtmlwww.onlinesingleparents.comforumsincludesdb_mysql.php on line 389
Warning: halt(): Failed opening './includes/functions_log_error.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in usrhomewitchyhtmlwww.onlinesingleparents.comforumsincludesdb_mysql.php on line 389
There seems to have been a slight problem with the Single Parents Forum database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

If I where you I would make sure to upload clean files of any VBportal or Vbulletin files you have altered.
April 26th, 2005, 01:16 PM
I havent done any hacks This just started last night after installing PP :(
April 26th, 2005, 01:17 PM
What do you mean you have installed no hacks?
That is not a hack on your portal page?
You have hosed your portal which is tied to VB so this is where your errors are coming from. You dont see that your footer is missing in the portal?
You most likely cause is when installing your hack you did not properly select the vb database back to the forums after selecting the database for photopost on the top of the hack
April 26th, 2005, 01:20 PM
its just a modual block to call the thumbs. I will loose it if thats what is causing this.
April 26th, 2005, 01:38 PM
Well if any hack is done right it works I use many such modules with no problem
I would just uninstall it and just backtrack your hack instructions and reapply
April 26th, 2005, 04:16 PM
I removed the module and the problem went away I think you wrote the code I got it from http://www.phpportals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14712 I was suprised I got it to work and didnt notice anyproblems until new people registering complained
April 26th, 2005, 07:04 PM
Well you did not apply something right as I stated.
You most likely as stated did not uncomment the select database statement at the bottom of the block since your running them in separate databases.
Your portal did not have a footer so you did not complete something correctly
Yes I wrote it and actually use two different ones on my portal.
