View Full Version : 5.02 - vb3,Header/Footer problems
March 28th, 2005, 02:50 AM
I believe that the new version is supposed to make integration a snap without having to do anything, maybe that's my problem. :) Everything is working after a clean install of VB and ppost except the urls for the images are trying to be found at 'images/rightlocation' but since the script is running from the ppost directory, it's trying to find images in 'http://www.youradultworld.com/ppost/images/rightlocation' which doesn't exist. I've tried doing everything to config_int or whatever but it's not changing it. Do I need to mess with the template for a fresh vb 3.0.5 install?

Guess everything isn't going good. Upon my upload attempt, I see this. Notice the slashes missing. No errors during install by the way.
Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/youradul/public_html/ppost/uploads/1/014.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in homeyouradulpublic_htmlppostimage-inc.php on line 37
Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpTRwUan' to '/home/youradul/public_html/ppost/uploads/1/014.jpg' in homeyouradulpublic_htmlppostimage-inc.php on line 37

Your images dir should be "http://www.youradultworld.com/ppost/images" - and please check that your data dir and upload dirs are chmodded to 777

If you are referring to some VB images thinking they are in Photopost thats easy.
Yes 5.02 has a tigher integration but we do not autotranslate custom style and non standard normal VB3 image paths.

Oh ok, then how can I get ppost to know that the vb header images aren't in ppost, I imagine I need to have it back up a directory or something. Do I need to edit the templates and if so how? Thanks so much.
Thanks in advance...
BTW I fixed the above problem, it appears even though I remember choosing GD2, it somehow defaulted back to imagemagick.

I am referring to your upload error you asked about
As far as any header problem you need to post a url for us to see your issue to suggest a fix

Ah your talking about that custom style.
I beleive Michael posted in another thread with a suggestion for ya. You need to make your relative image paths etc all full url or /forums/images blah blah in that specific style
